"Nope, I don't know... I'm new, after all," Hera said mockingly, her voice dripping with sarcasm as she turned her attention back to her script.
The room fell into a tense silence, the weight of the situation settling in, but no one stepped forward to defend her.
"Ha! I knew it! You think you'll survive in this industry with that kind of attitude?" one of them sneered, her voice filled with venom.
"Well, you've managed to stick around, so I don't think it'll be impossible for me," Hera shot back, her tone amused, as if she were dealing with nothing more than a group of clowns. She was in a good mood today, and didn't mind putting them in their place.
With her reply, Hera was clearly insinuating just how foolish the women in front of her were.
If they had managed to survive this long with their attitude, surely she, who was simply minding her own business and trying to do a better job, could do the same.
