The press fell silent, their attention shifting to Massie. Feeling the weight of their gazes, she abruptly stopped chuckling and cleared her throat.
"Ahem! I apologize for my outburst; I was simply thrilled to be regarded as a newcomer." A smile spread across Massie's face, her eyes sparkling like crescents as she surveyed the reporters gathered in their boutique.
"Apologies for the late introduction. Allow me to reintroduce myself: I am Massie Morgan, the new chief perfumer of the 'House of Fragrance' and, as they used to call me a decade ago, the 'perfumer princess.'" Massie confidently embraced her title as a prodigy in the industry, recognizing that it would serve as her leverage moving forward.
It would be foolish not to use such leverage, especially when others flaunted their dubious awards as if desperately seeking validation.
If they could showcase their accomplishments, why shouldn't she do the same?
