Logan watched from the corner as Hera conversed happily with Lucas. Like anyone else he had met before, they always preferred Lucas over him, always believed Lucas over him. Once they met Lucas, they would forget about Logan and treat him like an unwanted child.
Logan's eyes turned red with emotion as he turned around to leave. Hera felt an intense gaze directed at her and subconsciously followed it to see Logan walking away. He wasn't heading back to where he came from; it seemed like he just wanted to get out of there.
Hera felt a twinge in her heart, realizing instantly that Logan must have overheard their conversation and seen her reactions. She paled, quickly opening her car door to chase after him, but Lucas grabbed her hand to stop her.
"Senior, you have to give him some time to process everything," Lucas said, shaking his head with resignation. He looked tired and saddened, his lips pursed and eyes turning red.
