"Hera, we're here to pick you up!" Zen's voice echoed from a distance as Hera glanced up to see Zen and Xavier approaching.
"Are you guys finished already?" Hera asked a hint of surprise in her voice. She had been planning to wrap up after a final chat with the villagers she had been working with that day, intending to head back to the stable.
"We both just finished our respective tasks and bumped into each other on the way to the stable, so we figured we'd come and pick you up together," Zen explained, assuming the role of Xavier's spokesperson while Xavier stood silently beside him, his gaze fixed on Hera.
As Zen finished speaking, he wrinkled his nose slightly. With the villagers having already bid farewell to Hera, only the three of them remained standing at the edge of the field.
