Chapter 2 - The Awakening

Later that day, Mohan and Nanda headed to the guild to purchase awakening pills and register themselves as warriors. Their faces were beaming with joy as they took steps toward fulfilling their dream of becoming warriors.

Arriving at the guild, they approached the receptionist desk and made appointments to purchase pills and register their names as warriors, based on the talents they would awaken after taking the pill. Mohan felt a sense of confusion upon learning about the various specializations and variations among warriors.

The warriors were initially classified into two categories:

- Combat warriors

- Non-combat warriors

Further classifications were based on the innate skills they awakened. Mohan grasped some of this information from the receptionist's instructions:

- Combat warriors: melee warriors (short-range damage dealers), tankers (shield specialists), long-range damage dealers

- Non-combat warriors: alchemist, blacksmiths, runemasters (Erilaz), appraisers.

Mohan felt overwhelmed by the amount of information presented to him but trusted that he would understand how the warrior network system worked as he gained experience in it.

Unable to contain his anxiety, Mohan decided to ask the receptionist for clarification.

"When can I expect the pills to be available?"

Nanda said impatiently, "Can't you wait patiently? Show some dignity, especially when a beautiful lady is in front of you."

Mohan laughed shyly before replying, "I know I'm being impatient, but you know I can't contain the joy of becoming warriors, especially within just a few minutes."

When the receptionist overheard their conversation, she smiled and said, "The pills have arrived. You can go to room 4."

Pointing towards the side, she gestured towards a row of doors with numbers above them, ranging from 1 to 10.

Both of them entered the room and were greeted by a huge man standing at around 7 feet tall. He was dressed in light blue attire and was waiting for them with the pills in hand. The towering man handed them the pills and gestured for them to swallow it.

Mohan and Nanda swallowed the pills, and suddenly, an intense burst of energy emanated from them. The energy forcefully began opening the 361 acupoints in their bodies, causing them excruciating pain akin to the sensation of all their bones breaking simultaneously.

He reminded them sternly, "Don't lose consciousness and try to bear with the pain. If you can't handle even this minor discomfort, you aren't ready to become cultivators."

They gritted their teeth and held on tightly, determined to endure the excruciating pain.

It took around 30 minutes for Mohan and Nanda to adjust their breathing and return to normalcy. As they regained their composure, they started to perceive the world in a different light. They could now sense and absorb the spiritual energy present in nature around them. Additionally, the pill had not only opened their acupoints but also nourished their flesh and bones, enhancing their physical strength and heightening their senses. They felt their bodies become sturdier and more resilient.

As they approached the altar, the burly man gestured for Mohan and Nanda to come forward and determine the type of cultivator they had awakened into. As they walked towards the altar, Mohan's eyes briefly flashed gold before quickly returning to their normal state, too swift for anyone to notice.

The altar displays different colors based on the category of cultivator they had awakened into. For normal cultivators, it showed two colors, and as the number of colors increased, it indicated the level of talent the cultivator possessed.

The colors depicted the types of skills they were proficient in and guided cultivators on the correct path to follow. Initially, cultivators were divided into two colors.

1. Combatant Cultivator - Red

2. Non-Combatant Cultivator - White

In Combatant:

Melee Cultivator - Blue

Tankers/Shield - Brown

Long-range Cultivator - Orange

Assassin - Purple

In Non-Combatant:

Alchemist - Green

Blacksmith - Gray

Runemaster - Yellow

Appraiser - Cyan

Nanda took the initiative and placed his hand on the altar. After a moment of swirling colors, the altar revealed its judgment. Two colors red and blue shone brightly, while the third color yellow appeared slightly diminished.

The burly man observed the altar and then turned to Nanda. "Congratulations, kid," he said. "You are a melee cultivator with rune knowledge. I believe you will definitely soar high if you focus on honing this skills."

The burly man introduced himself, "My name is Arunketu. If you need any help, feel free to come to me. I can introduce you to a friend of mine who shares the same skill."

Nanda bowed humbly and expressed his gratitude, saying, "Thank you, elder."

Arunketu then turned to Mohan and gestured for him to place his hand on the altar.

Mohan placed his hand on the altar. After the colors swirled for a moment, it showed white and cyan colors.

Arunketu began, "Kid, you are an app...!!!"

Before Arunketu could finish explaining the result, the colors on the altar were suddenly engulfed by black.
