Lu Fan spent the rest of the time trading and receiving bills. He did not use a real account as he did not want to find himself cursing in front of customers.
By the time they were closing, he had gained 4 more tags that surprised him.
He had gained the [Trading +35], [Merchant +25], [Analysis +20], and the most surprising tag as of yet, [Prediction +10].
Trading the stock market was much like gambling, especially in foreign exchange markets like the one he was using with his demo account. Most traders there were honestly relying on luck.
It was too hard to know what the market would do and while having skills was good, it was only responsible for 50% of the gains. The other 50% percent was mainly luck.
But Lu Fan noticed that the more he traded, the more his attributes improved and the more accurate his predictions were.
His demo account was already double the amount he started out with, and if he could continue increasing that amount, he could already see his broker agent looking for him to talk business.
But that was not the thing that surprised him.
Since gaining the [Prediction +10] tag, he had noticed that he could predict more than just the change in the market.
Like when the next customer would come in or when the next would pay. It was easily doable with enough data, yes, but this time, he did not rely on data and statistics to predict these things. It was more like intuition.
He could intuit the shift in the market and even when he made the wrong move, he could get a gut feeling telling him that it was the wrong move.
Lu Fan did not hesitate and he directly bought attributes and made this tag a white talent.
This was one of those talents that were good for everything. The other tag he leveled up was his Merchant tag.
How could he not?
This tag came with many skills that normal tags could not compare. A tag like [Trading] only gave him knowledge and experience on how to trade stocks and some other skills that he would not be able to apply in many places.
But the [Merchant] gave him skills that could be used in various places and he was already seeing the benefits of these skills. He was previously too fixated on numbers as an Accountant should, but that was bad for general business.
Small businesses like the hotpot joint did not really need proper books that would sooner make the whole business model rigid and unbearable.
It was ok if all he did was keep records, but if he wanted to influence the development of the business, what he needed was an Entrepreneurial mind, not a mind obsessed with numbers.
Skills like haggling could be also used everywhere. With his merchant tongue, he was sure that he could get a discount for everything he bought at the convenience store next door. Well, he could also just smile and that milf would gladly give him a discount but it was whatever.
Those were not the skills that surprised him, however. There were insane skills that he got that were borderline Psychic.
Here in the restaurant, for example, Lu Fan could easily tell what colors and designs he could use to make customers feel nice and want to eat more. He could even come up with different packaging to make some customers feel some kind of way.
He could even tell what words could make a customer feel some sort of way and with a few words, Lu Fan was sure he could milk anyone dry.
It was scary and exciting at the same time.
As for using these skills, well, that would have to depend on the situation.
He did not bother to level up the other tags.
His [Trading +35] tag was leveling up like crazy and Lu Fan was sure that he only needed to spend a few more hours before he managed to level it up to a white talent. And the other tag was not very useful at the moment.
[Analysis +20] only helped him sort out and understand data, which he had very little of at the moment. Combine that with his [Memory +50], [Deduction +19], and [Observation +2] tags, it was a bit redundant to spend cash to level it up.
He might level it later, but that would have to wait till he made more money.
One thing he did notice though, was that tags did not affect each other. I mean, shouldn't good analysts have good observation skills? But increase in the analysis tag did not do anything for the observation tag.
Lu Fan was sure that his observation skills had improved a ton after getting the prediction, merchant, and analysis tags, but the system did not react to the change at all.
This made Lu Fan very curious but he decided to wait a while. Maybe there was no change because he had yet to use said skills?
"Fan'er, we should go up and rest. You have school tomorrow."
"Ah, yes Mom."
'Maybe I should try getting skills that will improve my body? It would be great if I reached a point where I'd no longer require 6-8 hours of sleep.'
Lu Fan wrote his book for an hour before going to sleep. He was not going to stop writing novels because of Li Lin.
He had a big dream of creating a money machine that was an ACGN studio. These things had so much money that Lu Fan drooled just thinking about it.
He did not need much, just enough to allow him to stay at home the whole day but still make a killing come end month.
He also had a plan for University. There was no way in hell he was going to do another intense course like he previously did. Even if all he had to do was add attributes to tags, he still wanted to be as lazy as possible.
He had already decided to follow An Xing'er and lounge around Literature and Performing Arts. It was not like he would ever need to use that degree anyway.
