When they emerged, Lisa was still snapping photos around the room. She, however, stopped and looked up, tense, on hearing their arrival.
Abel and Jason proceeded to sit before addressing her.
"You're hired," Jason said curtly.
Lisa covered her mouth with both hands in surprise.
"Really? Oh my gosh… You can't be serious… Like, I'm a member of the band now?" she exclaimed, and it was clear she was honestly thrilled.
"Don't get ahead of yourself… You're just a staff member for the band," Jason said. "We'll discuss your contract terms later."
That didn't seem to dampen her spirits.
"Thank you, thank you… I won't let you down, I promise."
"Excellent," Abel interjected. "Because your first role is to help us sort out the mess that you and your friends started. You'll help us filter the serious participants from the casual fans."
Her excitement faded, but only for a second.
