Silence reigned through the halls of the academy, only interrupted by my slow steps as they were illuminated by the sunset. Looking away from the hall, I watched as the sun set, bringing another end to this damn world.
"I'm running out of time, I have to hurry," I muttered as I brought my hand to my forehead, quickly rethinking my plans; after all, the events of the canon were already approaching.
ras-ras-ras
My thoughts were interrupted when I heard the soft sound of a pencil writing. "Is anyone still at the academy?" I muttered as I slowly walked towards the door of the classroom where the sound came from.
Upon opening the door, I found a certain person who was the center of my thoughts, the only person who can make my plans work.
"Gremory-san? Are you still here?"
Hearing my voice, that person stopped writing and turned his head to look at me. Her beautiful sky blue, almost greenish eyes widened slightly as she recognized me, her crimson red hair fluttering through the open window beside her, giving a beautiful view. "Sensei," she murmured in surprise, then cleared her throat and smiled.
"I'm organizing some club activities and some assignments, including yours, sensei," she said, letting out a light smile. "And you, sensei? Why are you still at the academy? Even Souna and the other members of the Student Council have already returned home," she asked in a curious voice.
"I stayed at the academy to clarify some things about upcoming classes and to clear my mind a bit," I answered as I walked slowly over to where she was sitting. "Wow, Sensei, I hope she doesn't give us as much homework as she did in today's class," Rias replied as she turned her attention back to her notebook.
I silently looked at Rias' pensive state as she solved trigonometry problems; my gaze shifted from her beautiful face to her white neck covered by some crimson red hair.
Should I do it now?
My gaze, normally indifferent and without any show of feelings, began to return to its normal state: eyes filled with madness and hatred. My hand slowly slid towards the hilt of my katana that I always carried to the academy. It was so common for me to carry it that Rias didn't even show any signs of interest towards my movement; after all, being a high-class devil, it wouldn't be difficult for her to notice the movements of a mere human.
I'll take the risk; after so many years, my plan will begin.
I gently grabbed the hilt of my katana and squeezed it lightly, without taking my eyes off Rias' defenseless neck.
Today, my multi-year plan will begin; Today will be the beginning of the end of the High School DxD universe; today, Rias Gremory will die.

Hello, even though this was the first fanfic I tried to make, I left it forgotten for a long time until now. Honestly, I was thinking of abandoning this project, but seeing that there are some people interested in this fanfic, I decided to continue it, but only until I finish the other projects I have, since now I'm stuck in a chapter of DxD: Chaos Beast.
