Chapter 134 - R.A.A.T Deployed: S-Pop

A few minutes earlier, Ave and Eva were trying to figure out a fun and entertaining way to get capture (But probably kill) the two bugs before them. Arachne was weaving up a web to escape if things didn't go well, but she hadn't actually accounted for Senshi all to much.

"How about we have her sing?" Eva suggested, playfully taking the mic from her brother, who had yet to come up with something as interesting. "Yeah, but her music is kinda... Meh. It doesn't really sell all too well." Ave mumbled while setting up the camera for a good angle, eventually deciding on using the spider's web to hang the camera from the ceiling.

"Hey! My music sells! You guys just don't understand the subtle nuance of S-Pop."

"Is that like J-Pop?" The two questioned. Arachne's five eyes all trailed to Sesnhi, whispering to her partner; "Mollia's name is J-Pop?"

"I-I'd guess it's like S-Pop but... L-Less named after spiders." The centipede answered with a nervous smile. Granted, Senshi just always looked nervous, even when she had confidence. Arachne, or more precisely Eido, had single handily created a music genre she had unsubtly named Spider Pop.

She had gotten the name from Rat, who suggested it after her first hit single. When you're practically the only mainstream idol in an underground city, I guess you get the luxury of naming a music genre.

But enough about how great of a name S-Pop is. Ave and Eva certainly thought so, as the two took to the hall way that had become their stage. After all, what's a performance with out a bit of drama. With a flip and a catchy hum, Eva snatched Senshi up without much resistance... I mean, it's not hard to grab a centipede, unless you hate bugs.

If only Arachne was actually invested in saving her partner.

"Which. You know, you've got to do?" Ave smirked, double checking the camera. He was very particular about his angles, and if this didn't look good, he'd probably strangle his sister before jumping into the ocean. Uh... He really likes his cameras, okay.

"Now play the hero, spider." He seemed to be trying to sound calm and casual about it, but he was starting to get annoyed at how long it had taken for something to happen. Arachne wasn't exactly worried, since she could just...

"Web."

"Web?" Before Eva could properly respond, the flashy woman was pinned against the cold steel of the ceiling. "Y-You c-could have done that sooner!" Senshi yelled, bound up against the ceiling with the streamer.

But the spider was winging it in terms of her attack. Ave went silent, expecting more from his sister. "You lost to a spider... Oh god damnit." He sighed, pulling the camera down from the few webs that held it, shutting down the stream.

He would do more, but his will to fight was all but ruined by the awful action scene. "You gonna cut me down?" Eva asked with a light bit of laughter, shaking her web bindings.

But her brother wasn't to bothered to help his sister yet, for now, he'd actually have to try. Quickly, he began trying to crush Arachne. (I would say like a bug... But, that's too obvious.)

The spider idol was much faster than him, weaving between his legs almost like a dance. With each movement, she spun a web around the frustrated streamer before finishing her little dance with a tug of the woven web.

Ave tumbled to the floor, Arachne standing smugly with her multiple arms crossed. "Once again, I save the day."

"Y-You've n-never saved the d-day!" Senshi called out with a frown. The spider quickly wrapped up Ave, posing dramatically in front of the twins' camera. Senshi already knew her partner's ego had grown ever so lightly more and it would almost immediately bite her in the ass.

Ave activated his power, trapping Arachne inside the camera. The centipede could already hear the spider idol complaining in her head.

It wasn't like she was dead though, as her webs were still very much in play. So the siblings and the centipede were now stuck. Unable to really move. Their only option was to wait. Wait patiently for someone to come and get them.

"S-So... W-What's w-with the laser cannon?" The centipede asked, wanting to pass the time. Eva just answered flatly with; "Guppy wanted a reason to bust out the cannon."

"A-And y-y-you're looking f-for P-Peni b-because?"

"Because your demon friend killed our boss to put it simply." Her brother called up from the floor. Though that did confuse Senshi a bit. The centipede was adamant to the two that their boss was murdered by Rat.

Yet no matter how much the centipede tried to tell them the truth, they insisted on the truth Verum had told them. Her word was true after all.

Senshi continued on with her questions anyway, seeing as any piece of information would be useful (and an excellent way to exposition dump.)

But the two caught on rather quick as to what the centipede was doing. They had to admit, her always timid way of speaking was a great way to disarm them. "How about you answer a question for once? What the hell is your deal with the spider?" Ave called up, slowly scooting across the floor to be underneath the two.

"R-Rough relationship built o-on lies and rebuilt with h-honesty..."

"Huh. Neat." Eva mumbled before calling out for someone in the medbay. Senshi was a bit confused, until a small voodoo doll wandered out from the missing doorway with a blank stare. There body was barely upright, constantly tilting side to side as they walked.

"Oia, give me a hand." Ave gave a playful smirk to the doll, who unceremoniously shuffled over the webbing and struggled for awhile to free the streamer. But the little doll had broken his comrade free.

"Alrighty, all mighty. Uh... You deal with the two in there?" He pointed to the room Oia had just left. The doll gave an affirmative nod, seeming to say something about leaving them in a nightmare. With that sorted, Ave went to free Eva, only to get a random phone call from Verum.

Eva let out an annoyed groan as her brother stopped trying to help her down to pick up his phone. "Hellooo?"

"Yo. Listen, have you found the demon yet?"

"No. We're looking now." He sighed, shushing Eva as she yelled for him to get her down. Verum sighed down the phone. "Look. I need you to find something for me. There should be a beating heart and a weird, impractical gun blade thing. I'd say they'd be somewhere with the demon."

"We're on her steampunk airship thing. Would it be here?"

If Ave could see Verum's face, he would see a stare that would say a thousand words. Thousands of words in many languages that all meant 'Really, you have to ask?'

The rodent hung up the phone and Ave quickly began searching the ship for whatever Verum wanted, leaving Oia to try his best to get Eva down.
