Chapter 107 - Bee-have yourself

As Lucy waited patiently for everyone to return, she could here the distinct sound of Arachne yelling and screaming insults at Senshi. The two had been arguing for a solid thirteen minutes and with no signs of the two letting up, Lucy was stuck waiting for the issue she'd caused to resolve.

"Buh, bum, tst..." She hummed, spinning around in Senshi's crudely made office chair. As she began to grow more bored, Lucy decided to do something she never thought possible. She decided to idly use her magic to distract herself.

"I wonder if..." With a quick motion of her hand, a chain shot out and scratched a glass mug. It instantly melted and remade itself into a glass replica of herself, looking as prideful as ever. It did make her smirk slightly but that soon faded once she began thinking back to the tyrannical leader she missed being.

"Mother... Why does life curse me in such banal ways? Hmm... Maybe I should just retire and do nothing... No, far to boring."

As Lucy continued to amuse herself with different career paths, her peaceful thoughts were ruined by Senshi and Arachne bursting into the room. "WE WANT YOU TO FIX OUR MARRIGE!" The two yelled together.

"You know I ruin relationships, correct? Separate families, have people executed, deny others the love they so dearly want. What in my own gods forsaken name could I offer that could possibly fix your marriage?"

Senshi and Arachne both began whispering to each other about what to do, though Lucy began thinking over a simple way to fix their marriage. Through magic.

"I think I have something that might help."

The two looked desperate for a solution and if Lucy could offer it, they'd take it. The demon sighed and began writing up a contract, showing it two. "This contract will void any lustful urges you have for any other person besides each other. You agree to never be able to love anyone but each other and all that comes with that. You agree that you will remain loyal to each other no matter the body. Do you agree to the terms?"

The two didn't really want to get a divorce (Despite clearly needing to at least take a break) and signed the contract without any hesitation. Once their names were signed, an ethereal chain bound itself to the two, binding them together.

"And we'll be happy, right?" Arachne asked with a smile, hugging up against Senshi's neck. "No. That part comes entirely to you." Lucy remarked with a light laugh and reaching for the contract, only to accidentally run her hand through the ethereal chain.

"Oh mothe-" Before Lucy could even shout, the chain split in half and erupted into a ghostly green haze that enveloped the three in the room.

Lucy couldn't help but feel a sharp pain in her heart as she wearily tried to move. Holding her eyes shut from the excruciating pain, she yelled out; "Get... NVR! Need... Doctor... NOW!"

But Senshi and Arachne were silent, frustrating Lucy even more. "Say something! B... Bugs! Mother's name, this hurts." She grumbled. "Hey Lucy. C-Can you uh open your eyes?" Arachne asked with hitched breath.

A buzzing sound rung through Lucy's ears as she slowly got up from the floor, still very much in pain as she tried to open her eyes, only to be blinded by the light in the shabby room. Lucy glanced around to see everything looked much larger then usual, confusing her greatly.

"Hey, you're awake!" Arachne called out, looming over Lucy with a now human looking form, not a spidery feature on her body. "Oh mother, what have I done now..." She grumbled before trying to stand up, only to fall back to the ground.

"Oh god damnit." Lucy groaned as she looked behind her to see an oversized pair of thin wings on her back. "Get me a mirror." She asked, staring up at both Senshi and Arachne with a scowl on her face.

"Oh good gods, I look ridiculous!" She yelled with an insect like buzzing once she saw herself. Lucy's form had been reduced to that of a bee demon. Her skin had become a fuzzy yellow and black fur while her body had shifted into a more voluptuous and alluring figure.

With a pair of cute little antenna poking out of her now striped black and blonde hair, she let out a loud screech of frustration, her new mandibles clattering in anger. "Why do bad things happen to good demons!?" She buzzed, summoning a jade chain to break the mirror.

"You good?" Arachne asked with an awkward smile as she leaned down. "I-I think it's b-best we leave her alone f-for a bit... W-We don't wanna bee any more of a b-burden." Senshi answered, trying to help Arachne out of the room as Lucy began trying to break everything in sight despite her miniscule size.

"S-She's p-pissed..." Senshi whispered to her partner with a nervous smile. Arachne leant against the cold closed door and flicked her now black hair. "Well hey. I'm sure she'll figure out how to fix herself... But you know... We haven't seen each other in awhile... Do you wanna?"

"A-Are you really thinking of that right now?"

"Eh... Not really. I kinda just wanna sit somewhere and judge people silently."

Senshi seemed a bit confused by Arachne's proposal, but she also felt a bizarre want to judge people. The two decided to head outside and people watch over the smaller than average village, leaving Lucy to herself.

The bugs who were busy doing their metal work could hear what sounded like a distorted angry buzzing coming from the office, yet no one had the confidence to investigate.

Eventually the buzzing had ceased and soon the queen bee that was Lucy crawled out from under the door, not saying a word as she went to leave out of the small hole in the wall.

"I wanna die, I'm super bored, I wanna die, I'm super bored." The demoness sung to herself playfully, wandering down the small dirt path back towards the four horsemen.

"I should be ruling, not singing. Why am I singing? I feel like breaking into sooooooong and conveying my feelings through... Uh... Sooooooong." She sung as her little wings flapped, lifting her off the ground as music began to play from nowhere, confusing herself as she broke into a full musical number.

"I'm not meant to be bugging out. I just wanna be breaking out of this song. Why am I singing? Where is that music? What is that meticulous melody? What the heeeeell is going oooooon!?"

"You might be in a musical?" Lamb joined in, ringing her bell to the invisible beat. "Maybe we're dead?" Arlo harmonised as Lucy flew over to the carriage, standing on the sign that hung on top. "Perhaps she's asleep and this is a bizarre hallucination that we're now apart of?" Ro joined in with, leaning out of the back of the carriage while seemingly smiling under her mask.

"Will this singing ever end?" Min chimed in, already seeming tired of the music. "But what if we have to continue singing?" Lamb continued. "Why are we still saying singing?" Ro sung while slowly making her way to the others, who were all moving rhythmically.

"What other words are their for singing?" They uh... Well you know.

"We need to stop singing. We want to stop saying singing. Why the hell are we singing?"

"I don't know why this is happening, I want it to just end already 'cause I don't know how to continue singing when I'm just making this up as I go aloooooong." Lucy sung, slowly flying into the air before the music abruptly cut once she missed a note.

"That's how we stop singing, I guess." Min laughed before staring up at Lucy. "So why are you a bee now?"

"I screwed up a contract and I think I might have broke my heaaaaart!"

"Stop. Fucking. Singing." He yelled back, not wanting another long, drawn out musical number. Lucy soon flew down to the four with an unusually cheery look on her face. "I'm going to take a nap and fix this once I've rested. Guard me." She buzzed before flying into the back end of the carriage.

"Is it just me or did Lucy look... Happy?" Ro asked with a confused look between her siblings. Min gave a light shrug, going through some crates to grab something. "Yeah... Maybe she's happy being a bug?" He snickered, though Arlo let out a nervous whine. "What if she's dying? I don't know what I'll do without a master... Ro, is she dying?" He asked, leaning up against the plague bringer.

"No. She won't die... I think she's just happy. And why ask me? I can't tell when people are dying." She sighed before beginning to cough. "Gods, I think she's triggered my hay fever..."

"You're a doctor. Fix it yourself." Min called out before holding up a tiny crown. "What are you doing?" Lamb asked with an exacerbated sigh. He quickly disappeared into the back of the carriage before poking his head out an motioning for everyone to look.

"Oh god..." Lamb mumbled, trying to stifle a slight laugh at the sight of the bee, asleep on a pile of books, wearing a tiny crown. The other two were a bit baffled at why Lamb found it so funny, but she did always find the little, simple things in life to be the funniest.

And that was something the three wouldn't change for anything.

"You... You really do have a weird sense of humour." Arlo chuckled, wagging her tail with a smile. The four soon went back to work, letting Lucy quietly rest. After a while more of working, Lamb felt a sinking feeling in her chest as she sold off a wooden spoon to a mantis demi-human.

"Do you see a radiant light?" She asked as she turned to Ro, who also felt something was off. "Do you hear a beautiful chant?" The plague bringer asked with a hitched breath, feeling like her skin was beginning to burn. "Do you guys feel a tender warmth?" Arlo asked, putting a crate down.

"I feel nothing here." Min yelled back while relaxing under the shade of a wilted tree. "But I reckon it's just a really nice day out." He laughed, staring up at the rather nice weather.
