Ven and Nvr2b waited patiently for Tid-Bit to select the next floor of the ever shifting elevator, the two talking about Biz's memories. "What do you reckon we're meant to see?" He said as he looked over some of the random names of the lift.
"I don't know... Maybe you're just meant to learn about people's pasts? What makes them who they are?"
"Nah, I learned one thing during Cheshire's torture sessions. He never likes to reveal the true meaning of his punishments."
"You're... Not as fun as I thought you'd be." Nvr mumbled as she scratched her face under her veil. Tid-Bit soon pointed to the next button with a chipper digital smile. "The next floor is for... Ami Carmen."
Ven sighed and pushed the button, and once again, the two began floating around as they travelled to the next floor. The doors shifted to a sickeningly bright pink door with rainbow stickers on it, the two feeling blinded by just how bright it was.
Nvr opened the door this time and the two stepped through to be greeted by the sight of Panila's office, the warden sat behind her desk as Ami was awkwardly fumbling what looked like an interview.
"Well... Let's see how this one plays out." Nvr said as she sat on the floor to watch.
"And what experience do you have in a leadership position?" Panila asked as she shuffled a few papers. Ami began trying to scrounge the words together, but only stammered out; "I-I-I c-c-c-c-can d-d-do heart m-magic!"
"That's not what I asked."
"W-W-W-Well I-I c-c-could try t-talking t-t-to people! A-And improving D-D-Desires! M-Maybe g-g-get m-more religion involved?"
Panila gave a loud sigh, taking a sip of coffee. "Look, Dear. You're not understanding my question. What can you offer Desires that others can't?"
"Uhm... I-I-I'm sorry, t-t-this was stupid... I-I don't even know w-w-why I t-t-tried..." She mumbled, getting up to leave in embarrassment. But the doors to the office were quickly chained shut with a snap of Panila's fingers.
Ami froze up and turned to face Panila with a timid look. "A-A-Are y-you going to kill me?" She said in a shaky tone. Panila began genuinely laughing at the thought, waving away her concerns. "No. That would be a waste of potential. I think I just need to ask you another question instead. Are you willing to become the best at any cost?"
Ami nodded slightly as she sat back down, keeping her posture straight as she tried her best to hide her fear. "Y-Yeah..."
"Then... I suppose a trial year as Desires' Leader couldn't hurt."
"R-R-Really?!" Ami let out a squeal of excitement, quickly shaking Panila's hand. "I-I-I won't let you r-r-regret this!" She beamed. Panila handed her an invitation to a dinner party held in Devouring. "I hope to see you at Tophi and Wendy's dinner. You could perhaps pick up a few tips from the other leaders."
"Oh t-t-thank y-you!" Ami continued on, still thanking Panila to an annoying degree that she had Ami escorted out by her Fox headed body guard.
"Huh, you reckon that's it for this floor?" Ven asked, though Tid-Bit pointed to the now unchained office doors appearing more like kitchen doors. "No... It seems we have more to see." She said with a smile before taking control of Ven and burst through them with Nvr, now entering into Butchers and Sweets Emporium back when it wasn't an inked up festering nightmare hell scape.
Nvr looked at amazed at the beautiful lighting and fancy décor of the restaurant, sitting down on a table with Ven as Ami walked through the front doors and being greeted by the other Domain leaders in their most decorated outfits, sitting around a table together.
"Iz thiz the new Rat?" Cheshire said with an electronic laugh as he looked over Ami, nudging Wendy's thin shoulders. "She doesn't look like much. Maybe Panila was wrong." Wendy whispered, taking a bite out of a raw slab of meat, the juices spilling onto her snow white event dress.
Tophi gave a smile as he motioned for Ami to sit. "Come on, girl. Sit." He said with a dramatic wave of his cane, though nearly smashing one of his lights. Ami awkwardly nodded and went to sit, before hearing a small, muffled cry from her seat.
Everyone froze as Ami looked under herself to see Eido kicking at her to move. She quickly shot up and moved away to sit next to Cheshire. "S-S-Sorry..." She said in a whisper, awkwardly twiddling her fingers as Eido climbed onto the table, giving Ami a death stare. "Don't worry about it." She said with a cutesy smile and giving multiple hearts signs with her hands, but everyone could clearly feel the tension in the room.
Soon enough,, after everyone had finished their introductions to Ami, Panila had finally arrived, wearing a chain covered black dress with her hair down for once. She sat down at the head of the table with a cold smile.
"I assume introductions have been made? Well if so. What is on the menu tonight, Dears?"
Wendy and Tophi both gave each other a grin as they motioned for their waiters to bring in the food. "Tonight. We have for Eido a plate of flies cooked with butter and salmon, creating a bizarre yet wonderful meal with not to many calories for our weight watching friend." Wendy said as he handed Eido her plate.
"Wendy will be having chilled Gorgon tail with Jackal organs... Another stupid combination for her." Tophi said with a smirk as he placed Wendy's meal down at her seat. Wendy glared at him as she placed his food at his seat. "And Tophi is having gumballs and ice cream. Another unoriginal dessert for the unoriginal dessert maker."
The two laughed together as a server handed Cheshire a memory stick. "For our Dear Cheshire, we downloaded a Jpeg of lasagne. Your favourite." Wendy said with a dramatic bow. "For our new friend, we heard you enjoy simple, easy food. Rather boring really. So we just made you harpy nuggets and french fries." Tophi said with an eye roll, casually sliding the plate over to her.
"And for our dear Panila... We present to you..." The two began building up the suspense, with Eido tapping the table in a drum roll.
"We present you this coffee flavoured dessert steak!" The two said as multiple waiters had to wheel in a gigantic steak covered in grounded coffee and whip cream on top. Ami and Eido both glanced at each other, silently agreeing that it looked awful. Though Panila seemed more then overjoyed, well she seemed more pleasantly surprised.
Everyone raised a wine glass of varied drinks. "Everyone. Please, let us raise a toast. To preserving the peace." Panila said with a smile as she took a light sip of red wine mixed with coffee.
"To new melodies and stories." Eido smirked, taking a sip of her glass of syrup.
"To new recipes." Wendy and Tophi said together as they split a blood filled ice cream float.
"T-T-To h-hopeful f-f-futures." Ami said before awkwardly drunk her apple juice.
"To beingz the bestz of th bestz!" Cheshire cackled, pouring some battery acid on himself.
"To me being better... Then... Uh... Then me!" Rat chimed in with a drunken laugh, raising a bottle of vodka above her head. "W... When did she get here?" Eido asked as she looked around, a bit confused.
"Rat... Please leave. This is a dinner for Domain leaders only." Panila said with an irritated tone, though Rat just laughed her off. "Come on. A... Am I really that bad? Hey... Who's the new bitch?" She could barely point to Ami, who nervously waved.
"I-I-I'm t-the n-new leader of D-Desires, M-Miss." She said with an awkward smile, trying to look confident. "W-Who is t-t-this?" She stuttered out, looking at Cheshire.. "Your predecezzor." He cackled, but was soon silenced by Rat dragging her seat over.
"You chose... That little thing to replace me? You... You should have taken Biz." She said with another drunk laugh, though gagging a bit. "W-W-Well... I-I'm s-sorry y-you f-feel that way. M-May M-Mollia guide y-you home s-safe." Ami smiled, trying to be her best self.
"Oh... Here we go." Wendy mumbled as Rat gave Ami an angered stare. "You wish... For who? Who do you wish to guide me home?" She said with an aggressive tone. Ami began to panic slightly, looking to the other leaders on what to say, but they all stayed quiet, not really knowing what to do either.
"Uhm... I-I j-just t-t-thought I-I'd wish y-y-you well on your w-way home... D-Did I say something wrong?" She looked around before Eido whispered under her breath; "Rat really hates Mollia for some reason... Drop it."
Ami awkwardly fiddled with her fingers, not knowing what to do as Rat looked like she was going to knock her out. But Panila had just finished her drink, and was now ready to do something. "Rat. Leave."
"Fine..." She grumbled, snatching a few of Ami's fries and beginning to drink straight from a bottle of Vodka as she went for the front door. "W-W-Well s-serves h-her right. I-I'll b-be the n-next Mollia a-anyway a-and put her to shame." Ami proclaimed proudly. "Oh for fucks sake." Wendy groaned before Ami was soon hit over the head by Rat's bottle.
"You really wanna be Mollia? T... Then learn to take some pain, you little c###!" She laughed, running off into the night. Ami was barely conscious as the other Domain leaders began to eat their food, not to concerned really over Ami. "Hmm... I do hope she's better then Rat." Wendy smirked as Tophi gave a light chuckle.
Panila finished her food rather quickly and used some chains to drag the now unconscious Ami away. "Enjoy your food... I will have Cerbi take her home." Panila sighed, leaving the restaurant with clear annoyance over her night being ruined... Again.
Ven and Nvr looked baffled over the scene. "Rat... Rat really knocked Ami out with a bottle?" Ven said with a slight laugh. Nvr pointed the the door that Panila had just left through as it had become another elevator door. "Looks like we're done here." She said before the two got inside.
Tid-Bit once more scanned the ever shifting buttons of the elevator. "I feel as though we only have one more room to go through before we find Rat." She smiled before pointing to a button dead centre on a panel. "And it seems the last one we need to see is... Pandæmonium?" Tid-Bit said before glitching out and disappearing.
Ven looked around, confused on what happened as he began tapping his heart. "Bit? Bit, you their?" He said before hearing a familiar electronic laughter begin wring in both their ears. Nvr rushed to hit the button. "We should get through the next one quick." She said before covering her ears as the elevator began to move and the two began floating about, hoping the next one would be easy enough to get through... But they knew Cheshire had finally become aware of them.
