The trio had managed to make it back to Biz's mansion, sitting in the basement as Senshi rushed over, apologising as much as she could for what she did. "It's okay... I mean, it's not. But, we don't hold it against ya." Avis said with a sigh, trying to think of their plan as they looked at the sword.
Vinea and Fox poured themselves a cup of whiskey and cheers each other, seeing it as the end of the world... Again. Tika rubbed her temples and downed the bottle in one swig. "Well, we are officially fucked. Biz, got any ideas?"
Biz was in a state of manic panic, going over bit of information Rat had ever told her, and still coming up empty handed. "I'll take that as a no." Tika sighed, staring at Ami and the sub-mind she was clutching. Avis banged the sword against her head, trying to think of something on their very limited schedule.
"What if... We accept that we're all gonna be cards like Panila?" Vinea suggested with a laugh, causing everyone to glare at him, to which he shut up from then on. Avis suddenly got an idea. "Biz, you said that Sub-Minds have other people's heart abilities, right? What ability is in Desire's?"
Biz sighed, wrestling the mind away from Ami, who was being awkwardly comforted by Senshi. She began looking through it and activated its ability, only to end up with swords of light floating behind her. "Damn it! You said you touched this heart and ended up a harpy, so there must be an extra power we're missing... Could it be Rat is the key?"
Avis thought it over, but shook her head. "If Rat was the key, wouldn't it be obvious she activated it. It. She's crafty, but she still abides by the laws of physics... To a point." She sighed, twiddling the blade between her talons before accidentally dropping the sword, on the ground and shattering it.
Everyone looked baffled at how easy it broke as Avis realised she'd basically broken a weapon from the gods. "Oh fuck... Wait..." She pulled the main blade off the hilt, revealing a small component that looked like it would fit perfectly into the the heart.
"Try this." She said, passing it to Biz. She delicately slotted it in and activated the heart again, only to be met by a transformation. A shining light overtook her form as she looked taller, more godly. Her jackal features looking sharper, her robotic limbs now looked like the pinnacle of technology as the heart had shifted into a set of scales.
Everyone looked awestruck by Biz as she checked herself out in a mirror. "This... Is not a bad change." She smirked checking out her clothes. Biz placed the scales down, reverting back to her usual form as the scales reverted back into a heart. "Hmm... I suppose Rat did have an actual plan after all."
Vinea quickly took the heart and activated it, becoming more godly himself. His vines now looked straight out of legends as his body looked more well defined. "I am awesome!" He yelled in triumph before accidentally dropping the heart, reverting back. "Aww."
Before anyone else could have a go with the heart, Biz placed a container over it. "It seems that Desire's heart is to... Grant a more Desired version of one's self... And if Rat had used this on you, Avis... Then."
Before Avis could object, Biz shoved it in her hands and activated it, causing Avis to glow a bright light. Her form looked more divine as well, though it wasn't like a god, more like a mythological creature. Her feathers had turned a shade of golden red as her wings were as radiant as the true sky's sun. She was a Phoenix.
Everyone all stared in awe before Ami snatched the heart out of Avis's hands. "E-E-Enough! W-W-We don't have a-an actual plan! W-We... could all... Be... Dead..."
When Avis transformed back, she didn't have any of her signature Harpy features, she looked just as Ami remembered her.
"Avette!" Ami yelled, tears streaming from her eyes out of joy. She quickly hugged her tightly, not budging for a solid thirty seconds. Everyone looked stunned by Avis's de-transformation, even she was surprised, not ever expecting to see her old human self again. "This is... Freaky..."
Vinea looked stunned by Avette. "You look... Waaay uglier." He laughed, slapping his vine against her back. Biz began muttering herself a theory and explained that Avis was probably in the middle of her transformation between states, and that since it has been completed, it allowed her to become human again.
"Yeah... That's cool I guess..." Avette quickly took the heart back and activated it for a second and cutting off the transformation by throwing it on the ground. "Yeah, I'm not Avette anymore. It's Avis. I prefer this. It's who I am now." She shrugged, stretching her newly regrown wings.
Ami sighed, still hugging Avis. "Don't care. Wait... Y-YOU TOLD ME YOU DIED!" She yelled. Everyone sighed and after a few more minutes of chatting, they decided to figure out an actual plan.
With Ami being the main target, Biz figured that with the heart, one of them should be close to the equivalent of Peni's strength. But then Vinea raised a point. "If that little thing can cause such a strong transformation, shouldn't the other hearts have something similar?"
Biz slapped her head like she was an idiot, quickly grabbing Tophina's heart and began checking it out. It soon clicked that Devouring's Heart was to trans mutate things together. She decided to run a test on herself, finding the right component to activate it. In an instant, Biz turned her left arm into ice, then to flames and finally back to steel. She then decided to have a bit of fun, using the ability on Tika, turning her into a pile of water before sculpting her back up into her original form.
"It seems that Devouring is transmutation... A rather dangerous ability. It seems each heart is more dangerous then I thought. I wonder if even Panila knowns of this?" Biz asked herself with a laugh. She then got one more idea, tossing Desire's heart to Ami.
Ami let out a gasp as she was enveloped in light, her form appearing more muscular, taller. Her red hair waved like it was in the wind constantly And a pair of white wings adorned on her back, her armour now fully golden. Ami looked like the pinnacle of Man, she was a Valkyrie. Tika looked Jealous at just how much stronger Ami now looked.
Biz then used Devouring's heart to fuse both Ami and Avis together like a mad scientist. "If Splice could see me now!" She cackled as this new being awkwardly tried to stand up. Neither Ami nor Avis, more her own person. Biz smirked at this new being before looking at Arachne's heart and tossing it to the fused siblings.
"I think we should go for a pretty cool name for em." Vinea laughed, poking them in the eye.
After a few minutes, they snapped their fingers as they outstretched their wings triumphantly
"Just c-call me Hræsvelgr."
"She still stutters..." Vinea snickered.
