(Levar Point of View)
Lev heads into the bedroom and then to his bowl, which is almost empty. I grab Lev's food as I fill up his bowl. Lev sits next to his bowl as I fill it up. I don't know why he does that but it helps me fill up his bowl, so I'm not going to say anything about it. When I am done, Lev starts eating. I light scratch his neck, where I feel the different fur growing. I smile at him. He is such a good lion. I am really glad that I have him.
"Sir. What are you doing here? Shouldn't you be with Mis Asaka? I doubt that she will want you to be alone."
I look back and I see Addon. "Asaka and Frey started arguing and Lev was hungry so I came in here to feed him and leave those too alone to deal with that."
"Of course sir. I apologize I wasn't there, I was taking care of something. Is Lev the kitten there?"
"Yes, he is. Lev is a lion cub. I didn't think that he was a lion at first but he is getting bigger everyday and you can feel his main starting to grow in."
"How did you get the name?"
"Well I am part Russian and part Slovenian so I know a few names from both and Lev is a Russian name that means lion."
"So you knew he was a lion when you got him?"
"No, he just looks like a lion from his fur color so I wanted his name to me a lion name."
"You don't seem Russian. I don't know anything about Slovenian so I can't say anything there but it does sound like it would be in Europe which you look like but not really act. Unlike Mis Asaka who does look Chinese and has some characteristics."
"I haven't heard that before but I do know I look a bit more like my mother than my father and my father is the Russian half. I can understand what you mean with Asaka, she has made Chinese food for me before but I don't believe she follows any of the traditions."
"Well Mis Asaka does hold wisdom, honesty, and loyalty in high regards but I do think the honesty is because she is bad at lying."
I look up at him, confused. Asaka was able to lie to me about what her real job was for a while so I don't see how she could be bad at lying. "What do you mean?"
"Mis Asaka can't make eye contact with anyone when she lies."
That makes sense. I didn't put it together before because I didn't think about it. That is probably why she was looking directly at me earlier. She was telling the truth. That explains a few things. I guess for now on if I want to know if she is telling the truth I should ask her to make eye contact with me. Then I will know if she is lying or not.
I look back up at Addon and I see Asaka. It doesn't seem like she has been here for long.
"Addon?"
I see Addon look at Asaka. She must have just gotten here. "Yes, miss?"
"How long have you two been here?" So she did just get here.
"Not long miss. I was heading back into the living room when I saw the light on so I went to investigate when I was Sir Levar here feeling Lev." He actually is calling me Sir Levar. I just realized how similar mine and Lev's names are now that I hear them together. And Lev is in Levar. Is that why he asked how I got the name? Did he think I just shortened my name to get Lev? I didn't. I have a better reason for the name than that.
I look up at Addon when I see Asaka. When did she get here? How does she keep doing this? She is really quiet.
"My love, how about we go make dinner together or do you want to stay here?"
"Yes, we can make dinner together baby." I think that might be fun like it was last time.
She smiles at me so I smile back at him. "Let's go." She holds her hand out and I take it before we walk into the kitchen.
When we get into the living room, I tried to see if I could find Frey. After all, I do want to know what I should be using for them. They don't look like a female or male and their voice doesn't tell me either.
"What are you looking for darling?"
"Where did Frey go? Frey had to leave."
"Oh? I was hoping to ask them a question."
"What did you want to ask them?"
"What is Frey?"
I see her looking at me in confused. "What do you mean?"
"I mean I don't hear you say he or she, just them and I believe siblings but what is Frey."
"Frey is nonbinary." Oh. That makes more sense.
"Alright. So what's for dinner?"
"Tocas. It's easy and I had some of the stuff. Frey got the rest."
"Is that all why they were here?"
"No, they also wanted to meet Lev." They did seem to like Lev and did enjoy being around Lev.
"Well they got to and Lev definitely seemed to like them."
"I could tell. He was climbing on them. Now let's make dinner."
I nod my head before we head into the kitchen and we start dinner.
