Chapter 92 - Truth

(Levar Point of View)

I hear the freezer open, which startles me a bit and gets me out of my thoughts. I look up and into the kitchen.

"Sir, are you okay?"

"Yes, I am. This is just a lot to take in and I didn't expect to hear something in the silence."

"Did it break you out of your thoughts?"

"It did."

I hear a buzz and Abaddon checks his phone before putting it away. "Do you want to talk about it? I am here to protect you but that doesn't mean I can't help you whenever you need it."

"I might as well. It might help. I just have a lot of questions."

"Just tell me what you are thinking."

"I am scared. I don't know how to feel or think with all of this other than fear. It's a lot and it makes me wonder how many times I could have died but didn't because she fell in love with me. It's a lot to think about. If she didn't love me I would be dead. She was stalking me and did research on me. What if she found something that she hated. What if I caught her eye but she didn't love me? I would be dead. That's all I can think about now. I hate it. What is one day she just kills? What if what happened didn't happen? I hate the fact that if I didn't go to work that one day, this wouldn't have happened. I can't stop thinking about it. I hate the fact that I am thinking about death now more then I did when I was suicidal." I feel myself starting to tear up. I hate that this is all I can think about.

I look up at Abaddon but he isn't looking at me. Before I can see who he is looking at, I feel Asaka give me a hug. When did she get out here? I calm down slightly as I stop crying.

I'm sorry. I never wanted that to happen. "

I hug her back. How much did she hear? She seems a bit hurt. She definitely seems to care a lot about me. I shouldn't be surprised but I am a bit. I didn't think she would still act like this. I guess Abaddon was right, she does love me a lot. "I'm scared." My voice is quieter than expected but I can tell she heard me as she holds me closer. Her touch is very comforting to me. This is why I love being in her arms. It feels safe. I calm down more. I guess even though I know the truth it doesn't change anything.

"I'm sorry. I didn't mean for this to happen like this."

"I'm just scared that I could die or how many times I almost died."

"Don't worry darling. I will make sure no one hurts you. No one is going to take you away from me. No one is going to get close to you. I will kill them if they do and I know you know I am telling the truth. You have seen me do it." She seems to be being a lot more honest now. I like that she sounds more honest.

"Thank you."

"How about we do something together until it's closer to dinner time?"

I nod my head. Maybe I should ask her some of my questions. I still have a lot of questions. "Can I ask you some questions?"

"Go ahead. I will answer anything you ask."

I nod my head. I'm glad that she did agree to it. "How long have you been in the mafia?"

"Since I was 16. I killed my father since I am the oldest and some rule my father had in his will, I was in charge. I didn't know about it so it took me a year or two to get a handle on it and I was still in school."

Wow, that must have been a lot on her and she answered my next question without knowing it. "Alright. That also answered my next question. Do you like being in the mafia?"

"Yes and no. I am used to it now but at first, I hated it. I like the power and resources that I get and I try to stay moral. I don't bring anyone from outside of the mafia in. People have to come to us. Anyone that does things like sex trafficking I can stop, which is nice but once I was part of the sex trafficking, which I hated. I also have a lot of people that want me dead. I have learned a lot as well. I do have several ways of income but I mainly keep my money as cash, it's easier and I don't trust the government. I have learned a lot of sneaky things that the government does."

That is a lot different than what I have heard from others. I have heard of a few stories with sex trafficking so I'm glad that she does her best to stop that. I feel like the best part is that she doesn't bring people to her into the mafia but they have to go to the mafia first. "I have heard a lot about what the mafia does and I thought yours was like that as well."

"Well my mafia doesn't really exist so almost no one knows about mine other than other mafias. That was the first thing I did, which made everything easier. My men still get caught but they have nothing on us so we are let out. It makes it easier and a while ago when we had a lot of men caught, they were let go so I wasn't worried about it. Plus, every mafia is a bit different in what they do, how they do it, why they do it and their men. I know one mafia that is just women. Wait, where have you heard about other mafias?" I should have expected her to want to know more about what I meant and if she is being honest, I should as well.

"I hear a lot of things from being a bartender. A lot of people confess things when they are drunk or even tipsy. People loosen up when alcohol is in their system."

I see Asaka about to reply when the doorbell goes off. Wait, we have a doorbell? And who is at the door? Why are so many people just appearing here?
