As Adeline began to reluctantly venture towards him, he watched her with ravenous eyes, his head tipped a bit to the side. It almost looked as if only she existed in his world at that moment.
"C…Caesar," Adeline mumbled as she held his gaze.
Caesar was quiet for a moment, just staring at her.

Adeline swallowed, dropping her hands on his shoulders and crossing over one of her legs to sit down on his lap.
Caesar took hold of her waist, pulling her down and closer, right where he wanted her to be. He leaned forward, their noses almost touching. "Do you feel much better now, my doll?
Something flickered in Adeline's eyes. But she breathed, nodding at him. "I do." A smile made its way to her lips.
"That's my good girl," Caesar praised, his eyes gentle as if adoring her.
