Adeline bit her lower lip, averting her gaze from him, the tip of her ears flushed pink. "Well…yes."
Caesar chuckled softly and walked over to the window to sit down, his legs crossed and arms folded.
"Is something bothering you?" He asked.
Adeline was confused by his question. "Bothering me?"
"You seem troubled. I can smell your anxiousness," he said, nodding.
Adeline was silent, lowering her head to stare at the bubbled water.
"Talk to me, Adeline. What is it?" Caesar asked.
She drew a deep breath, beginning to fidget with the bubbles. "It's my dad."
"Sokolov?" Caesar asked.
Adeline nodded at him. "Yes."
"What about him?" He further probed.
Adeline drew a soft breath, lifting her head to stare at the ceiling. "I'm worried about him. I feel like something might go wrong. He's still staying with the Petrovs."
