Adeline still wasn't sure what the issue was, but she responded, honestly, "I met up with Roman."
"He said he wanted to talk to me." She began tapping her jaw as if thinking. "It wasn't really anything much, but he wanted to speak to me about the-"
"Don't you dare ever call another man's name like that." Caesar turned his head, sending her a glare.
"Huh?" Adeline drew her head back, startled. Her expression slowly morphed into a frown of disbelief. "I'm just trying to tell you where I was and what I was doing! I was with Roman at the coffee store. You asked."
Caesar was in front of her in the blink of an eye, his pupils crinkling with the forced smile that emerged on his face.
She felt chills crawl over her skin at that moment, and she slowly lifted her head to look at his towering figure.
"W-what?"
"You just mentioned his name again." The man was smiling, but it was clear that he was not in the least bit happy at all.
