"I recall being there on the floor after I was shot a lot of times, bleeding to death. No one came for me, not my father or Roman. I had to crawl back all the way to the hospital to get treated. I was bedridden for six months; it was horrible. The agony was unlike anything I've ever experienced before." Caesar chuckled softly to himself and took a deep breath.
"The pain was too much and at some point, it felt so distant that I stopped feeling it. My mind detached from my body, and I was just there, almost like I was dead. While I recovered, no one checked on me either, not Roman." He shook his head. "Realization hit me in the most horrible way because it took me that long to realize that not even Roman loved me. He was no different from our parents."
