It had been a week now, and Caesar hadn't exactly spoken to Adeline. He'd been taking his time to think about what Yuri had said to him that day, but nonetheless, he made sure Adeline was well taken care of and that there'd been nothing wrong with her.
She, on the other hand, had been trying so hard, wanting to speak with him but afraid that she would mess up his thoughts, Caesar kept his distance, avoiding her.
Currently, Adeline was seated at the edge of the bed in his master bedroom, fidgeting with her fingers. She was waiting for him, determined to get him to talk to her.
From her looks, one could tell she'd gotten better. She no longer had bandages around her head, and color seemed to finally be returning to her skin, no longer appearing too pale.
The door suddenly opened, and familiar footsteps could be heard.
