To be honest, Yuri couldn't help but develop some sort of dislike for Adeline. Under no circumstances did she have the right to hurt Caesar in such a horrible way.
If she realized just how much she'd broken the man, he was sure she would have wished to go back in time and change things.
And yes, Adeline would have. When she did what she did, she didn't think he would be that hurt. She didn't think it would affect him to the extent that he would change into a completely different person, someone she would not be able to recognize.
Yuri himself could only hope that someday things would go back to the way they used to be and that Caesar would break out of this shell and return to who he used to be—the real him.
