Caesar was dead serious, and even in her horrid state, Adeline knew. This man was never going to let her go.
She'd gotten herself into a mess she would never be able to escape from, and he did warn her in the beginning.
The elevator chimed open, and Caesar crossed out, still holding onto Adeline. He stormed towards her bedroom, entered, and made his way to her bed.
He was careful enough to drop her on the bed safely, having no intention to hurt her. As soon as he did, Adeline crawled away from him to the edge of the bed, her hand snatching the duvet to cover herself with it.
She was sobbing silently with her head lowered. The chunk of hair that covered her face, poured onto the bed.
Caesar stood, gazing at her. His heart was completely tightening in his chest, seeing her this way.
Do good things get ruined this way in nothing less than a day? Was it all that easy?
