I immediately knew something was wrong when I made the time jump. This wasn't the past, it couldn't be. I looked around, and everywhere looked so unfamiliar, and not in a good way. It felt as if the entire place had been deserted.
I couldn't see anyone outside. There were no plants, nothing to show life but the few buildings scattered around. I wasn't even sure where I was, except for the fact that I was standing at someone's doorstep. Not wanting to be caught by anyone who was perhaps working for Naira or whatever evil dictator was ruling right now, I started to walk away, then the door opened.
"Sigma!" The voice was familiar, and I turned. "What the heck are you doing out here? Why didn't you just knock? Come on in." It was Othniel. Relieved, I smiled and ducked beneath his giant arm to walk into the living room. Nina and Terrel were both standing in there, and they both hugged me when I walked in.
