Chapter 60 - Earth Fire Ginseng

"Swoosh!""

Deep within the western wilderness, a black shadow was rushing through the forest at incredible speeds with two others followed the shadow; one wore a grey coat that covered their figure and face, while the other wore a red coat.

They broke through tree branches, leaving behind a trail of messy trees and foliage in their wake.

After running for about an hour, the trio stopped in a random spot.

Here, the trees were almost all over five meters tall, making it difficult for anyone to see very far.

"Aiya, Saintess, you've truly made the patriarch angry this time. I'm afraid your uncle will not hear the end of it," the grey-clothed person said as they came to the front.

With a brush of the hand, the person removed their coat, revealing a gorgeous figure—a tall, warrior-like beauty with short black hair and bright black, glistening eyes. Her entire body was fully matured, with curves that would give even the most pious of Buddhists some truly naughty thoughts.

The black-clothed shadow turned around, revealing a young and godly face, albeit tainted with the most mischievous of smiles. She took off her coat as well, shaking her head and causing her waterfall-like black hair to sway left and right. Her face was carved with the love of heaven and the temptation of hell, with dark eyebrows arched over her dark golden eyes. Despite still being young, it was clear she would grow into another demoness of a woman. Such a face matched with a seductive body—God knows the chaos she would cause.

The young demoness laughed mischievously as she looked far into the distance from where they had come.

"Hehe—Uncle Azazel will have to bear Lord Father's anger for some time. At most, they'll fight for nine days and nine nights. Of course, their battle will end with Daddy's eventual victory—after all, no one can defeat Daddy—not even my second favorite person, hihi" she responded nonchalantly, shaking her head.

She tip toed around, occassionally grabbing a flower, enjoying it's beauty.

"Ahh, you truly are a troublesome little demoness," the red-clothed shadow spoke as she walked towards the girl.

The little demoness turned toward the red-clothed shadow with a large smile on her face. "Sister Sylvia, how could I escape if it wasn't for you telling me about all those things you've experienced? Now, I wish to have experiences of my own and, most importantly—crush the geniuses of the world." Hopping around like a little fairy, the little demoness floated towards a nearby tree, swaying her feet back and forth as she expectantly looked at the red-clothed person.

Hearing this, the latter helplessly waved her hand.

The warrior-like seductress came forward and tapped her on the shoulder. "It's no use being exasperated with this young sister of ours—she takes pleasure in our pain and feeds off it. We can only follow along and make sure she doesn't cause too much trouble this time around."

The demoness jumped down from a tree, a hazy purple light covering her body as she floated down. She loudly clasped her hands, then widely opened her arms towards the seductress, swiftly grabbing her in a hug.

"Hehe—Sister Blacksky knows me best. Now—where did you say the ruler of the western wilderness—the Crimson Qilin royal clan—lives? I heard they had some powerful sandbags." She licked her lips like a kid awaiting snacks.

Hearing her, black lines clouded the seductress face called Blacksky. "I told you to stop calling me by my family name; it sounds too masculine. Call me by my first name instead. Also, going directly to the Crimson Qilin clan is no fun. We can first go to the other four demonic beast clans. I believe the nearest should be the Golden-Winged Peng clan, the third-ranked clan of the lower western wilderness. It is said they have a pure Golden-Winged Great Peng bloodline, a top stellar-ranked beast, so they are very powerful."

Finishing, the seductress also remarkably smiled mischievously with a terrible battle intent rising within her jet-black irises. Previously, she called the demoness a troublemaker, but now it looked like she enjoyed her fair share of chaos.

The demoness's golden eyes sparkled when she heard 'top-ranked stellar beast.' That meant they had a bloodline comparable to the top of the entire world. "Sweet—let's head there first. Lead the way, Sister Morgiana." She finished her sentence with a wink as she slithered her body onto the back of the tall seductress.

Thus, the trio set off to cause chaos in the lower wilderness.

Hundreds of thousands of miles away, near the inner layers' edge, a fantastic scene was taking place; two extraordinary teenagers were fighting a powerful demonic beast.

"Ahh— Cataclysmic Barrage!"

A tanned and extremely handsome youth waved a gorgeous yet bloodthirsty red spear with masterful ability. He wore an animal skin shirt that exposed his fit arms, and his medium-length auburn hair moved about in a frenzy as he unleashed innumerable attacks with his spear.

A crimson sheen, viscous like gel, coated the deadly weapon's body. A mighty intent overflowed from the weapon, one that aimed to pierce the sky. The youth's thrusts and stabs left dozens of shadows in the air.

At the head of each spear shadow, a draconic roar could be heard, along with a lifelike meter-long dragon aura that coiled around each of them.

The spear light crashed towards a demonic blue eagle, which attacked with a pair of blade-like claws, ready to rip something into ground meat.

"Clang!!!" A sonorous metallic clash erupted as the spear shadows collided with the claws. The dragons at each tip gnawed at the bird's flesh as they traversed its body from its claws all the way up to its neck; streaks of red lines slowly appeared on their paths, damaging its huge blue body. A hint of decay and destruction oozed from the wounds.

After landing his attack, the vigorous youth wiped away the blood on the spear and let out a slight smirk, his blazing amber eyes very well fitted his sun like complexion, an occassional demonic crimson light would give them a more mysterious look. He took a step back

Next, a tall black shadow with streaks of ruby flames rushed towards the beast.

"My turn!!" Thorin arrived behind the great bird with a tyrannical great blade.

"Tyrannical Blade Art: Cloud-Parting Slash."

He wielded a heavy blade that weighed like a mountain with shocking ease. His ripped arms seemed to contain infinite strength as his entire body radiated a mighty bloodline aura that made the ground tremble. Behind him, the shadow of a terrifying titan appeared. The titan's body was not very visible—only a blurry face shadow with a pair of black and ruby eyes could be seen. The rest of the titan's body was completely covered by a hazy yellow mist that carried unfathomable weight, causing space to vacillate.

The valiant youth hacked down his great blade, a tyrannical blade intent shining on its edge. Surprisingly, a little bit of the yellow mist flew down from the titan shade and descended upon the great blade. Immediately, the youth felt like his weapon's weight increased tenfold.

Hideous veins appeared around his arms as he controlled the unfathomably heavy blade, hacking at the great eagle's head.

A dozen-meter-long flaming blade slash cut towards the bird with unstoppable momentum.

"Ka-cha!!" The sound of something being cleaved followed suit, along with a small incinerating noise from searing flesh.

With no suspense, the giant blue eagle's neck was swiftly cleaved in two by the weapon. A fountain of blood followed its large, falling head.

The valiant youth also fell from the sky and breathed heavily to regain his energy.

"Ah-ah-ah…"

The other teenager with a crimson spear appeared next to him. With a flick of his finger, the spear turned into a red light that disappeared into the ring on his index finger.

"Not bad. This beast was a bit weaker than the demonic rhino Rai and Su You defeated yesterday," Kaeln said.

He then grabbed the massive body of the bird, which weighed around a hundred thousand pounds. Naturally, this was nothing to Kaeln, whose maximum strength was three million pounds.

The two then walked towards a patch of trees and disappeared into the leaves.

As they stepped out the other side of the green patch, a wide-open space welcomed them.

It was roughly two hundred meters in length and width—not very large, but it was certainly different.

A small, beautiful lake occupied most of the space.

In this area, surprisingly, the trees, perhaps affected by something, were mixed with healthy green and fiery red colors. There were not that many, maybe a dozen. They stood above the water of the small lake, half of their bodies submerged.

On the other side of the lake, there was a small amount of land, and on it was an odd patch of red plants. Occasional bits of fire energy would seep out from underneath.

The whole miniature domain was surrounded by a tall dome of interwoven tree branches. The western wilderness was so huge with many ancient tales of mysterious occurences. You will naturally encounter weird things like this small domain.

"Kaeln, Thorin!" When the two entered, a voice called out to them from the side.

On the far left side of the entrance through which they passed, Su Yao and the others patiently waited.

Tang Hao rushed towards them in a flash with shining eyes.

"Since you managed to kill that guarding demonic beast, should we go uproot the earth fire ginsengs over there?" He excitedly pointed to where the red plants were rooted.

Kaeln and Thorin exchanged exasperated glances. After their breakthroughs, the group spent two weeks finding this place. In the meantime, they fought many demonic beasts and found many earthly treasures. Every time a treasure was found, Tang Hao would jump in excitement—the boy really loved his treasures.

"Yes, but hold on man. I need to strip this bird of its feathers and cut it apart so it doesn't take up too much space in my storage ring. Help me with it." That said, a heavy 'thud' followed as the big bird's body lay flat on the ground.

Kaeln took out a huge butcher blade from his ring. It wasn't anything special, simply a regular mortal tool, but it was outrageously large: roughly two meters long and as wide as a grown human's waist.

Kaeln and Thorin took opposite sides to begin cutting the bird apart and were about to start when another one came rushing in.

"Hey, let me help!" Raizel shouted as he leaped forward, taking out his short blades. A purple flash of lightning sizzled around his body.

"Hehe, this is good practice for my blade skills. I will remove all of its feathers without barely touching its skin—believe me." The boy was highly confident.

While in midair, he spread out his limbs in an agile manner and firmly held his dual blades.

"Ahh!" twisting his body, along with his blade and with great control, he unleashed everything, cutting and slashing away the feathers precisely.

In the time it took for a candle to burn, the giant eagle was completely bald.

"Ah-ah..." Raizel landed back on the ground and wiped some sweat off his forehead. He triumphantly looked at his masterpiece while holstering his blades.

Kaeln glanced at the now completely bald bird and gave a slight nod of approval. "Not bad, Raizel. You've gotten faster and more adept at wielding your blades, I recon your blade intent is not far from congealing itself."

Raizel grinned nonchalantly, still obviously satisfied with himself. "Of course! I've been practicing hard."

Thorin chuckled as he prepared to finish the job. "Alright, let's cut it up and get moving. We don't want to linger here too long."
