I kicked the door open and instantly my suspicions were confirmed, the room was dark but its contents couldn't be hidden. The distinct smell of blood and decaying flesh was an indescribably unbearable scent that caused even my guts to react.

Wherever light shone, atrocities were revealed, at least a dozen decaying bodies, some in knight armor and some in the maid uniform, each body, however, had one thing in common with the other. They were all headless corpses.
"How awful, the novel's descriptions could never convey how barbarically inhuman this is.." I muttered to myself in shock.
