I was shocked.
"[Blind Saint]?!" I questioned.
Could she have somehow seen through my soul somehow? I wondered.
"That's what he told me, he said he was the [Blind Saint], a warrior who sacrificed all he could to save his people from fated death, even when his soul felt hollow, even when he felt there was no hope, even when he had to face his greatest fears," She said slowly.
"Stop…please.." I muttered.
I don't know why but when she spoke of me, I felt a profound sadness. As if a hand had grasped my heart and began to squeeze it. I missed those I loved in the first novel's world, but I deeply associated that entire world with suffering.
"Oh, and there's also the [Hunter], a man fueled solely by duty, left alone to fend off against horrors unimaginable, struck down again and again until he was powerless to even move, yet, again and again, he stood back up and held his sword high," She continued.
"*Sigh*"
