These words one by one tonight left his buddy dumbfounded.
"But they're still legally married husband and wife. Why are you determined to hang yourself on this crooked tree? How about this..."
Before he could finish, Tony cut him off directly.
"The mistress is the unloved one. Besides, there's no real feeling between Alston and her!"
His buddy said quietly: "Are you sure about that?"

Previously, Tony wouldn't have hesitated to say that Edith had no feelings for Alston.
But now he felt like their relationship had changed.
