34. Deliberately Making Trouble
This was exactly the reaction Edith wanted.
She was about to add some exaggerations, but was interrupted by Jenny next to her.
"Mom, there was a traffic jam on the way, sister-in-law tried very hard to drive here!"
Edith's face was full of black lines.
Jenny continued speaking: "You don't even know, Edith got up early this morning just to be able to arrive at the airport on time. But she didn't expect there would be such bad traffic today!"
With Jenny's explanation, her parents' faces instantly softened.
In order not to embarrass Jenny, Edith could only nodded to take credit for something that didn't belong to her at all.
This was a joke.
In order to deliberately arrive a little later this morning, Edith had deliberately gotten up an hour later.
Jenny naturally knew about it too.
But she still defended her.
