Chereads / RUN SLOWLY MY DEAR SWEET WIFE / Chapter 8 - Chapter 8

Chapter 8 - Chapter 8

"What?"

Ashley covered her mouth in shock.

"Alston he's crazy, just you? "

"Giving you half a million?"

Although Ashley is a rich girl, also thinks Alston out too generous, after all, this price can hire a domestic top tutor full of work for a month, not to ask Edith is still in college.

Edith naturally understands the reasoning behind this, but she doesn't like Ashley's questioning of it, and proudly pouts, pulling her black hair behind her ear and saying,

"I'm also very talented."

Ashley was amused and knocked on the table, asking seriously,

"You're going, aren't you afraid he'll recognise you?"

At the mention of Ashley's words, Edith grunted mercilessly, :

"He didn't even recognise me when the information about my scholarship award was sent to him."

"Besides, if he recognises me, then he recognises me, and the marriage is still going to be divorced."

Edith says the latter sentence when her voice is a little weak, she is naturally not afraid of Alston, just the thought of their coins to humiliate things found by Alston is probably not a lot of trouble.....

Edith does not want to, also does not want to, so can only try not to reveal the cracks.

Ashley saw Edith had decided to go to Jenny as a counselling teacher, then did not say more, only asking her to meet the trouble contact themselves, thought of the next week John opened up a foreign business to celebrate the banquet, invited Edith to go together, Edith knows John is about to be engaged to Ashley do not feel at ease, there are a few words to tell John face to face should be.

On Friday evening, Edith is invited to the A's estate to meet Jenny officially as a governess.

Having already been here once, Edith was well versed and changed her shoes at the door and was about to enter the house when suddenly two large black shadows lunged at Edith with a whimpering low growl.

Edith's face paled and she couldn't see the faces of the people not far away before she leapt upwards and hung onto the men.

"Oooh ....."

Edith has been wandering around since she was a child and was only recognised by the E family when she was older, she had many scars from her childhood when she was trying to grab food from stray dogs.

Edith is afraid of dogs, the moment he sees a dog he can think of the feeling of his tender skin being pierced by the sharpness of the dog's teeth, and he can think of the scene where he was starving and freezing on the streets.

Edith held Alston tightly, strangling Alston a little breathless, head buried in the nest of Alston's neck to make a pitiful frightened sound.

Looked scared ...

Alston saw Edith's appearance subconsciously frowned tightly, some unknown emotions in his heart diffuse open, tone of voice with a command to Jenny said,

 "Lock up the guard dog!"

"Oh."

Jenny hadn't expected Alston to speak to her like that for a governess, but she was afraid of Alston after all and whistled anyway to call the two large black backs to her, wheedling on collars for the butler to lead away.

Alston stares at Jenny as she completes the series of manoeuvres before looking over at Edith, who is hanging on to herself, and says with a touch of teasing,

"Miss Edith, that's not the way to throw yourself at the mercy of a woman."

Fuck you ...

Edith instantly blackened her face and lifted her head from Alston's neck, her warm breath spraying to Alston's earlobe, the man's body subconsciously stiffened, and his complexion sank slightly, while Edith saw a red bite mark concealed on the inside of her shirt.

Edith could tell at a glance that it was his bite, and the wound had already scabbed over, looking like it was probably going to scar.

But Edith didn't feel sorry for it at all; Alston had asked for it.

Or maybe Alston owed it to himself.

Edith pushed Alston away and jumped off of him.

Alston looked over at Edith, his watery, white, still face flushed with some excitement, those clear eyes still contained a watery mist that hadn't been withdrawn, and he looked pitiful as if he were an aggrieved puppy who needed to be coaxed.

"Jenny, apologise."

Alston looked to Jenny and ordered again.

Jenny is unwilling, pouting to show protest, but sees their second uncle Alston's face seriously, Jenny looks scared and does not dare to disobey .....

Edith can see Jenny's reluctance, for the sake of her half a million, immediately opening his mouth to round off the situation.

"It's okay, it's okay, Miss Jenny didn't mean it, Miss Jenny, let's go to your room and familiarise yourself with your future classes. "

Edith winked at Jenny and hinted, Jenny also stirred and immediately took Edith upstairs, but the man's magnetic voice resounded behind the two again, frightening the big and small on the stairs at the same time cold sweat.

"No need to call her Miss Jenny, just Jenny."

"Okay, Mr Alston!"

Edith nodded quickly to Alston, but her eyes looked towards Alston for a second, taking Jenny immediately upstairs to her room.

"Whew ..."Edith breathed a long sigh of relief, thinking of the intimate contact with Alston just now only to feel horrified, but did not know the tips of his ears secretly bubbled red.

Jenny went back to her room and threw Edith over the edge, sitting down on the floor and continuing to build the princess Lego model she was about to finish.

Edith scanned Jenny's room and thought, "Huh! That's pretty special.

While other little girls' rooms were filled with princess dolls and pink lace, Jenny's room was filled with all sorts of models, comics, robots, and airsoft guns ...?

This cute little princess who looks like a ceramic doll is not the same as other people, it's worthy of being from the A family.

Edith subconsciously smacked his lips, and then took out his notes from his schoolbag, squatted down beside Jenny and said,

"Jenny, let's make it official, okay, my name is Edith, I'm the family classroom that your second Uncle Alston invited, and I'm temporarily in charge of your academic life for the next month. "

Edith looked at Jenny with a smile on his face, a gentle face, but Jenny didn't look at Edith for a second, fiddling with the Lego parts in her hand, tens of seconds passed, and there was no intention to talk to Edith.

For the first time, Edith felt awkward in front of a child.

She cleared her throat and asked patiently once again,

"Jenny, your second Uncle Alston said that you named me as a teacher, I don't know which area you want to learn?"

"Lego."

This time Jenny didn't stay silent and answered without thinking, even stopping her hand movements to look at Edith.

"Last time you saw that I put together the wrong Lego at a glance and pointed it out, I think you're very good, and I want you to help me guide me in putting together Lego."

Being complimented by the little girl, Edith was still pleased in her heart, but she extremely quickly refused, :

"No way oh, President Alston paid a high price to hire me to guide you in your classwork, Lego ... Not coursework."

"Oh, then go away, I don't need you."

Jenny sniffed without any semblance of emotion and went back to putting together her Lego with her head down as if there was no Edith in front of her.

Edith, however, was in a hurry!

This was half a million dollars in hand! There was no such thing as spitting it out after you'd got it!

Edith clenched her fists and swore.

Before she came here, she asked Jenny about this little devil, saying that she is not a hard or soft person, and she is afraid that her second Uncle Alston likes to play with boys' things the most.

Little children ah, the best to pinch la, if you cannot suppress her, then join her, so that she actively worships you!

Edith smiled wryly and said to Jenny, "How about this, let's have a competition, I win and stay, you win, and I go. "

"Race for what?" Jenny came interested, her big watery eyes looking Edith up and down, wondering how she dared to dare challenge herself.

"You decide."

Jenny turned back, her finger landing straight on the air rifle that sat at the top of the shelf in a well-maintained, anti-gloss finish, :

"It's the match."
