The sun shone brightly in the deep blue sky, its rays casting a warm, golden glow on everything below. Wavy clouds drifted lazily across the vast expanse, adding a strange touch to the landscape. Birds soared above the people, spreading their wings wide and moving effortlessly. Their cheerful chirps echoed in the calm atmosphere, adding to the peaceful ambiance of the day.
A young man named Elmetoth walked down a busy street, his blue shorts and red sweatshirt standing out among a sea of people. The sun was beaming down on him, causing his eyes to squint. The air was filled with the sounds of conversation and laughter, the nearby cafes were packed and the smell of hot food and coffee wafted up. Elmetoth couldn't help smiling at the energy and vibrancy of the daylight hours. For now, he embraced the chaos and confusion of the busy street as he continued on his way.
"Elmetooth!!!"
As the woman's voice rang through the busy street, heads turned to see the source of the voice. Undeterred by the attention, the woman kept running towards a tall man. He stood out from the crowd thanks to his impressive height of 191 meters, and his head adorned with a white beret. The woman running towards him appeared to be 165 meters tall. As she approached with a cheerful smile on her face, she spread her arms wide and closed her eyes tightly in anticipation. Elmetoth turned his head at the sound of his name and turned his body when he saw a familiar face. A woman with dark skin and vibrant orange curls leaped toward him, and before he could react, she and his bodies collided in a tight embrace.
She buried her face in the center of Elmetoth's chest, her words muffled by the fabric of his shirt. "Where have you been all this time?" she asked, her voice a mixture of anger and longing.
"I haven't disappeared anywhere, Fiora. We were just together the other day."
Fiora protested fiercely to Elmetoth, her head bobbing from side to side, her face pressed against the soft fabric of her red T-shirt. Elmetoth, keeping his warm smile on his face, reached out with his right hand in a gentle gesture and ran his fingers through Fiora's messy hair, trying to calm her down.
"Okay, come on. People are looking at us."
Elmetoth and Fiora made their way through the crowded streets, their eyes searching for an empty café where they could rest their tired feet and pass the time. The tempting aromas of freshly brewed coffee and pastries floated in the air, wafting them from one shop window to another. Unfortunately, despite their best efforts, every café they came across was overflowing with customers, leaving no room for the two friends. Finally, they decided to stand in line at a café. As they waited their turn in the crowd, Firoa's endless energy manifested itself in the curious questions he asked the people around him. Fiora was impressed by the diversity of the people they passed. After waiting in line for about half an hour, they finally settled at a table among the bookshelves and began to spend time over a hot cup of tea.
Fiora and Elmetoth sat opposite each other, their voices rising as they engaged in passionate discussions about their favorite movies.
"I can't believe you think that movie is overrated!" exclaimed Fiora, leaning forward in her chair.
Elmetoth chuckled, his eyes sparkling with mischief. "At least I have taste, unlike my acquaintances who like cheesy romantic comedies."
"That's it, tonight we're watching my favorite romantic comedy!" Fiora pointed a finger at Elmetoth with a broad smile.
Elmetoth raised his eyebrows. "No, I'd rather watch the paint dry."
They joked for hours, discussing various species and governments, arguing and laughing until they were hoarse. They were both enjoying the moment.
Their conversation would end with a State Alchemist. As the sharp sound of military boots echoed through the café, all eyes turned to the uniformed figure. This official informed Elmetoth and Fiora that they had been called to the State Office. As heads turned to watch what was happening, the Alchemist seemed almost out of place among the ordinary civilians gathered in the café.
As Elmetoth and Fiora made their way to the State Office, they were joined by a third Alchemist. The trio was a unique sight - a Sciar-ranked alchemist accompanied by a Chem-ranked woman and a Chem-ranked abnormal. But it was the third person who caught their attention. Dressed in a gray cloth that covered every inch of skin, the whole body, except for his piercing yellow eyes, he looked absurd and unorthodox. His name was Ren, but he preferred to go by Zax. Despite his unusual appearance, something was intriguing about him. As they approached the State Office, Zax's eyes roamed over the large, spacious room with curiosity and awe. While Elmetoth and Fiora were energetically tossing things around amongst themselves, Zax remained silent, observing everything with intense focus.
The attendant who called them addressed the approaching trio with a bright smile and a gesture of welcome.
"Have a seat." his voice was cheerful and inviting.
Elmetoth and Fiora accepted the attendant's invitation and sat side by side on the dark brown leather sofa to the left of the table. Zax chose the same color leather armchair on the opposite side and leaned back nonchalantly. The attendant handed each member a thick folder. Their pages were filled with details of the events of the last few days. With a stern expression, the official began to speak.
"The chaos of recent days has been caused by the Order of the Sun and the elusive former Alchemist known as Xavier," he announced, his voice filled with urgency.
"Your mission is to eliminate these threats." The words hung in the air like a heavy mist.
A weight fell on Elmetoth and Fiora's shoulders as they delved deeper into the contents of the file.
