Chapter 108 - chapter 108 : alone in the forest

The sudden shift in the atmosphere left Long Su in a state of disbelief.

Only moments ago, they had been enjoying a meal as a cohesive team.

Now, distrust and animosity filled the air, all because of his skeletal soldiers.

He didn't konw why the team hates his undead skeleton soldier

No on one the university or the north city had ever said anything about his own type of units

Long Su's gaze swept across the faces of his teammates, each one wearing an expression of disgust and suspicion.

Even Huang Kun and Tian Rong, who had been so welcoming and informative during their time in the forest, now looked at him with hatred in their eyes.

Cai Yan, clearly conflicted, attempted to diffuse the situation. "Xiao Huang, Tian Rong's awakening is not based on their intentions."

"It all comes down to luck!" Her words, however, seemed to fall on deaf ears.

Sighing, Long Su addressed the group, frustration evident in his voice.

"It's clear that I'm not particularly welcome in the team." During his time in the forest, he had learned enough to understand that his status as a lord meant he could function independently if necessary.

Looking towards Cai Yan, whose face was contorted with a mix of emotions, Long Su made a difficult decision.

"Captain Cai, let me take my leave. I won't make this any harder for you or the team. I release you from our contract and won't hold it against you." With a wave of his hand, destroy the team contract and dismissed his skeletal soldiers and turned to leave alone

not looking back.

"Long Su, wait!" Cai Yan called out, wanting to reach out and stop him, but she couldn't find the words to convince him to stay.

Tian Rong, his arm wrapped around Huang Kun's waist, spoke up with a sense of finality.

"Captain, let him go. Our pure Silver Wings team cannot accept someone with a black heart."

Cai Yan opened her mouth to speak, but the words caught in her throat.

As much as she wanted to expand the team and accept Long Su, it was clear that the veteran members were against the idea.

She stood frozen in place, torn between her desire to keep the peace and the potential benefits of having a lord in their midst.

As Long Su disappeared into the darkness, the Silver Wings Hunting Group was left to contemplate their actions and the consequences of losing a teammate with such unique abilities.

The night grew eerily quiet as each member grappled with their thoughts, uncertain of what the future would bring in the depths of the forest.

As Long Su walked away from the Silver Wings Hunting Group, he felt a mix of relief and disappointment.

His time with the group had given him valuable insights into the dynamics of hunting within the forest, but the bonds he thought he had formed proved to be fragile.

"At least I've learned how hunters work together and choose their prey," he mused, resolving to forge his own path from now on.

Long Su made his way back to the station stronghold, where he found a modest hotel to rest for a couple of days.

Once rejuvenated, he gathered supplies from the market and prepared to embark on his first solo hunting expedition.

Upon arriving at the bustling mission hall, Long Su was met with a cacophony of hunters either accepting missions or turning in their completed assignments.

Typically, team captains would handle these tasks, but as a solo hunter, he needed to acquire a special camera to document his kills.

He approached the counter and declared, "I'd like to accept the missions for clearing low-level monsters and collecting magic potions."

The girl behind the counter, likely a normal person who had not awakened lord talents and couldn't afford professional awakening, inquired without looking up, "Which team?"

"I'm a solo hunter," Long Su replied.

The girl glanced up at him, momentarily surprised by his response. Anyone bold enough to hunt monsters alone was either foolhardy or truly powerful.

"You're responsible for your own safety," she said, reminding him of the risks. "Here's your mission camera. Take good care of it, or you won't be able to record your results."

Long Su accepted the mechanical camera; he was now ready to embark on his solo journey.

————————

Long Su retraced his steps, venturing deeper into the heart of the forest.

He knew that low-level magical beasts thrived in this environment, often serving as sustenance for their more formidable counterparts.

Their abundance and propensity to flee from danger made them an ideal target for his solo expedition.

Summoning eight of his strongest units, the Black Ice Skeletal Warriors, he prepared for the challenges ahead.

[black ice]

Level: 2

Strength: 20

defense: 20

Speed: 20

Will: 15

Skills:

Shadow master: use every shadow as a tool to move and hide; they can't be found without a unit higher than them by 2 levels.

This black ice skeleton is the unit that generates from the secrets units of the black ice platform.

He wanted to leave these units to his father, but according to him, no one can touch him under the protection of millions of Qin soldiers.

Even though the black ice platform have almost more then thousands of soldiers but strangely only 8 people generate 8 black ice skeleton

"Black Ice Warriors, fan out and form a perimeter around me," Long Su commanded, his voice echoing through the silent forest. "Stay hidden and alert me to any signs of magical beasts."

As the skeletal warriors obeyed, seamlessly blending into the shadows, Long Su felt a surge of confidence.

These elite units were second only to Zhang Han in strength and were masters of concealment.

With them by his side, he knew that no enemy would catch him unawares.

To further ensure his safety, Long Su periodically activated his mental scan, probing the depths of the forest for any hidden threats.

As night fell, he pitched his tent in a sheltered spot and strategically positioned his skeletal soldiers around the campsite.

Long Su couldn't help but appreciate the simplicity of a lord's life as he settled down for the night.

With his loyal soldiers keeping watch and his own abilities at the ready, he felt prepared for whatever challenges the forest might bring.

As Long Su settled into the quiet of the night, a small voice disrupted the tranquility of the forest, piquing his curiosity.

"Number One, investigate the source of that voice," Long Su commanded, knowing he could rely on his most trusted Black Ice Skeleton.

Unlike other units, the Black Ice Skeletons had their own unique names: Number One, Number Two, and so on, a testament to their spacial identities.

In a matter of moments, Number One returned with valuable information. "Your Highness, a group of over twenty red-eyed rabbits is engaged in a skirmish nearby."

Long Su was familiar with these low-level magical creatures from his time with the Silver Wings Group.

Their prized red eyes, each worth three magic stones, made them a lucrative target for hunters.

However, capturing them would be challenging, as their speed rivaled that of low-level elite soldiers.

Weighing his options, Long Su devised a plan. "Number One, lead the others and attempt to take down these rabbits. Preserve their eyes and wait for my signal to attack."

"Yes, Your Highness," Number One acknowledged, disappearing into the shadows once more.

Long Su focused his mental energy on the rabbits, marking their positions.

With practiced precision, he launched a barrage of bone arrows.

"Whoosh! Whoosh! Whoosh!"

"Bang!

Bang!

Bang!"

Three bone arrows hit three rabbits in the back

It's the first time for Long Su to use a spell and kill a creature through it.

The remaining rabbits, startled by the sudden assault, attempted to flee.

But before they could escape, eight skeletal warriors emerged from the shadows, swiftly beheading eight more rabbits with a single stroke of their swords.

The few surviving rabbits managed to escape, but Long Su was undeterred.

He knew that their meat was considered a delicacy and could provide a satisfying late-night meal.

Approaching the fallen rabbits, Long Su meticulously checked for magic crystals but found none.

Although disappointed, he thanking about the fact that the twenty-two red eyes would yield a sizable sum of sixty-six magic stones.

Gathering the meat from the rabbits, Long Su prepared a flavorful meal, enjoying the fruits of his successful hunt as the forest around him gradually returned to its peaceful slumber.
