Chapter 105 - chapter 105 : new world 2

A hush fell over the subway train as most passengers sat in contemplative silence.

Only the eager freshmen, both normal people or new students from different school, dared to engage in lighthearted chatter.

The majority of the students are from Sederth University but if you spend money then other schools can send their students to use the train

All for profit

The variety of clothing and equipment among the riders painted a vivid picture of their roles: warriors donned armor and held weapons, archers wore light armor with bows at the ready, and spellcasters adorned magic robes, some clutching staffs in their grasp.

Among the casters were the bloodline warlocks, individuals who harnessed the power of creatures' blood to enhance their abilities.

A golden dragon warlock, distinguished by his golden hair and golden colored eyes, was a fellow classmate of Long Su.

Due to his low bloodline and stringent upbringing, he chose the path of a warlock but struggled to control his immense dragon power he make himself famous

in the second day of the school his dragon power spread over the classroom and made weak students faint and others fell uncomfortable

But soon Under Teacher Xia's guidance, he learned to manage his power and apologized to the class for his initial outbursts.

Another spacial student was a girl, likely having awakened her druid bloodline, caught Long Su's attention.

She wore a druid robe, held a wooden staff adorned with fresh leaves, and had a black cat perched on her shoulder.

As a druid, she represented a rarity among normal lords.

Not all the lord can awakening the spacial abilities of their units

Students in same school uniforms traveled in groups, awaiting escorts to their designated dormitories upon arrival.

During their stay, venturing out was only permitted for part-time work.

The school spends mony to brings them to the new world and they use their ability to earn money to feed back their schools

The train continued its journey, periodically halting to pick up new passengers, each stop marking a deeper descent beneath the ground.

Heading toward The Sederth Fortress, situated over 150 meters underground, loomed ahead—a colossal steel structure adorned with magical patterns.

Its formidable presence overwhelmed Long Su's senses.

Serving as the last line of defense for the portal, the fortress was designed to withstand enemy attacks while awaiting reinforcements.

An impressive array of defenders, from golems and different types of units to modern armed forces, patrolled the grounds.

The garrisons consisted primarily of elite combat units, with few low-level soldiers in sight.

These troops, however, were not official forces of the Dragon Kingdom but rather the private army of Sederth University.

The extent of the university's power and influence became increasingly apparent as Long Su bore witness to this formidable assembly.

The train didn't stop at the fortress but in fast-paced speed he accelerate towards the huge portal

Darkness covered the train for little time before light and blue sky shine over

The new world

High number of modern Bulding can be see everywhere as will as a huge wall that surrounding the city

The train didn't stop into the city but keep going headings outside the city

Because the portal city is a military city no civilian allowed to stay at the city at normal times

" attention passengers, we will arrive at the Beast city in 2 minutes please prepare your baggage "

Long Su approached Beast City from the train window; he couldn't help but notice the similarities it shared with Portal City, albeit on a smaller scale.

Upon arriving, his first order of business was to visit the university office and register his arrival, ensuring that his teachers were aware of his whereabouts before beginning his work.

Driven by the pursuit of credits rather than practice, Long Su learned about the various opportunities that Beast City offered for earning these valuable assets.

He could join a farm to cultivate potion plants or lend his services to one of the numerous warcraft breeding factories.

These establishments worked in conjunction with the city officials, ultimately under the university's supervision, providing a chance to acquire credits through labor.

Alternatively, Long Su considered venturing beyond the city limits to hunt warcraft,

collecting materials or wild potion plants to redeem for credits.

The city's name, he discovered, was derived from its location at the foot of a sprawling mountain range

where dense forests harbored countless magical beasts that occasionally disrupted the development of breeding factories and farms.

If he so desired, Long Su could journey even further to participate in battles against the Werewolf Empire, the former masters of the land.

Comprised of vast territories and numerous powerful subject kingdoms, such as the Gnoll, Kobold, and Jackals, the empire presented a formidable challenge.

By joining the Beast City garrison and fighting against the empire's minions, one could gain military merits akin to credits in exchange for valuable knowledge.

For individuals at level 3 strength like Long Su, facing off against minions possessing strength levels between 1 and 2 would prove relatively manageable.

However, Long Su yearned for freedom rather than becoming entangled in the garrisons.

Embracing the life of a hunter would grant him the autonomy he craved while still enabling him to earn his desired credits.

Weighing his options, Long Su deliberated, "Perhaps the hunter's path would suit me best. It provides both freedom and opportunity."

Nestled in the heart of Beast City, the Hunter Center bustled with activity as Long Su entered the building.

This official establishment, sanctioned by the Dragon Kingdom, served a dual purpose as both a task distribution hub and a recruitment center for job seekers.

Long Su approached the counter and politely greeted the customer service representative. "Hello, here's my information," he said, handing over his student ID and a completed form.

The girl behind the counter examined Long Su's documents, comparing the information to his student ID. After a moment, she replied, "Mr. Long Su, everything appears to be in order. I'll upload your information into the system."

As she processed the data, the customer service girl eventually returned his student ID along with a new electronic card, explaining its purpose.

"This is your hunter card. Please take good care of it."

The hunter card offered a variety of functions, including identity verification, transactions, and task acceptance.

In essence, it served as an all-in-one tool for navigating life not only within Beast City but in other cities throughout the new world as well.

Moreover, the hunter card doubled as a mobile phone, enabling users to send and receive messages within human city limits. However, its functionality waned in areas beyond the service range.

Long Su securely stored the hunter card and proceeded to the expansive lobby on the first floor of the Hunter Center.

Multiple large electronic screens adorned the walls, displaying various information.

It was clear to him that electronic products faced challenges in this new world, as the pervasive aura often led to high failure rates.

The Dragon Kingdom had managed to overcome this obstacle by developing a system that utilized magic stones to power electronic devices.

Although less convenient than traditional electronic systems, this innovation proved sufficient for smaller devices like computers and other personal electronics.

Gazing at the screens, Long Su mused, "It's incredible how the Dragon Kingdom has adapted technology to function in this environment.

The hunter card and these magic stone-powered devices will certainly make life in the new world more manageable."

Long Su's gaze fixed on the large screen as it displayed a plethora of recruitment advertisements.

Each one vied for the attention of skilled individuals, presenting various opportunities and incentives.

He read aloud some of the notices: "'Urgently recruiting a Level 6 Lord with Shield Guard General abilities, requiring at least three years of actual combat experience.'

'C-level hunter or above needed for a temporary gardening mission, with a reward of 100 magic stones and 100 credits. No equal division of spoils!'

'Recruiting a Life System mage, preferably a high-level soldier.'

'C-level hunter or above sought for a long-term teammate, with a monthly salary of twenty magic stones and twenty credits.'"

The Broadsword team caught Long Su's attention with their announcement:

"'The Broadsword team is expanding its recruitment. We welcome Rogues, Warriors, Knights, and Spellcasters—as long as you have the skills, you can join. Salary is negotiable.'"

Intrigued by the possibilities, Long Su retrieved his hunter card and began searching for more information about these teams.

The card granted access to comprehensive details, including each team's history, their past achievements, and even anonymous evaluations from former members.

With time to spare, Long Su made himself comfortable beneath the big screen, engrossed in his search for the perfect team to join.

As he explored his options, he couldn't help but feel excited about the potential opportunities awaiting him in this new world.

"It's incredible how much information is available through the hunter card," Long Su thought to himself.

"Now its time to find a team that helps me understand the situation here."
