Chapter 15 - Chapter 15 :wolf-hunting 2

With 20 newly crafted hunter spears in his possession, Long Su made his way back to the dungeon.

Each spear was a masterpiece of craftsmanship, perfectly balanced and with a sharp, deadly point.

The Skeleton Militia had not lost a single member in his absence, and now, with these powerful new weapons, they were ready to face their enemies like never before.

The wolves had been a constant threat, but the Skeleton Militia marched towards them with newfound confidence.

The gleaming spears were held high, reflecting the sunlight and sending shivers down the spines of their foes. No longer did they rely on crude bone swords; now they were armed with precision and strength.

Long Su strategically placed his troops in a wedge formation, with the strongest skeletons at the front, wielding their spears. Behind them stood the weaker skeletons with a sword and shield, ready to provide protection and support.

It was a sight to behold as they advanced towards the wolves, determined to defend their territory and prove their worth as members of the Skeleton Militia.

The wolves snarled and growled as they saw the approaching skeletons.

The first wave of wolves charged towards the Skeleton Militia with bared teeth and claws.

But before they could reach them, the sharp points of the spears pierced through their bodies, ending their lives instantly.

The remaining wolves hesitated for a moment, unsure of how to approach this new threat.

Taking advantage of their confusion, Long Su ordered his troops to advance and strike again.

The Skeleton Militia moved forward in unison, their spears aimed at any wolf that dared to come close.

As expected, not all of them were successful in their attacks. Some missed their target or were too slow in pulling back their spear for another strike.

However, those who fell were quickly replaced by other skeletons who were eager for battle.

With each strike of the hunter spears, more wolves fell, until only a few remained.

The wolves, sensing the change in their opponents, faltered in their advance.

Their attacks became less coordinated, and their movements became more erratic.

The once-relentless predators now found themselves on the defensive, unable to penetrate the wall of spears wielded by the skeletal troops.

As the battle raged on, it became clear that the tide had turned in favor of Long Su and his skeletal units. The wolves began to retreat, their fierce yellow eyes filled with a newfound wariness.

They slipped back into the shadows of the forest, leaving behind the bodies of their fallen comrades.

Long Su watched as the last wolf disappeared into the trees, his heart filled with a mix of relief and satisfaction.

He knew that the hunter spears had made all the difference in the battle, and he was grateful for the skill and dedication of his skeletal craftsmen.

With the immediate threat of the wolves neutralized, Long Su turned his attention to the deeper recesses of the dungeon.

He decided to purchase 30 Wolf Hunter Spears, a decision that cost him the remaining 300 gold coins he had earned today

He knew that spending all of his money on weapons left him vulnerable, with no financial safety net to fall back on.

But he also knew that without these weapons, his skeletal army would be vulnerable to future attacks.

He armed 50 skeleton militia units with a hunter spear and rallied all 120 skeleton militia units in his dimensional world.

pressing onward into the depths of the dungeon, following the direction of the retreating wolf pack.

The air was thick with the smell of blood, a pungent reminder of the battles that had taken place just moments before.

But Long Su pressed on, driven by his desire for unwavering determination.

As they continued to follow the trail, they came upon a large cave entrance.

The mouth of the cave loomed before them like a dark and foreboding maw, daring them to enter its depths.

Long Su took a deep breath, steeling himself for what lay ahead. With a gesture, he signalled for his skeletal troops to follow him into the unknown.

They obeyed without question, their bones clacking in unison as they marched towards the cave.

As they approached the cave, jagged rocks jutted out from the ground like sharp teeth, and gnarled tree roots snaked around them. The air felt thick and eerie, sending shivers down their spines as they stepped closer to the dark entrance.

An eerie silence hung in the air, broken only by the steady drip of water echoing through the cavern.

A dense fog engulfed the space, obscuring any visibility. The distinct scent of a wolf pack lingered, leading directly into the ominous mouth of the cave, daring anyone to enter its dark depths.

As the cave descended deeper underground, its depths became even more mysterious and cloaked in darkness.

After a long and dark journey, they finally emerged into a large chamber deep within the cave. The walls were lined with glowing crystals, their radiant colors casting an ethereal light throughout the room.

In the center of the chamber, a pack of wolves stood poised for battle, their eyes glowing with fierce intensity.

It was clear that they had been expecting the skeletal troops and were ready to defend their territory.

Long Su ordered his troops to " hold the spears high and kill them all."

The skeletons advanced, their hunter spears at the ready.

The wolves charged, their powerful jaws snapping and their claws slashing at the skeletal units.

The battle was fierce and intense, with the sound of clashing steel and the rattling of bones filling the air.

Despite their numbers and weapons, Long Su's skeletal troops were outnumbered by the wolves.

The ferocious beasts seemed to multiply with each passing moment, pouring out of the caverns and crevices surrounding the chamber.

As the battle raged on, Long Su realized that they were losing ground. The skeletal troops were being pushed back, their ranks thinning as the wolves' relentless onslaught continued.

Despite their best efforts, the loss of some of the skeletal units was inevitable.

Despite their fierce resistance and skillful use of the hunter spears, the sheer number of wolves was overwhelming. The loss of his troops hit him hard, each fallen soldier a painful blow to his morale.

Half of the Skeleton Militia and numerous Sword and Shield units were lost in the fray, their bony bodies littering the ground.

The wolves, their fur matted with blood and their teeth bared in triumphant snarls, pressed their advantage.

With a heavy heart, Long Su realized that the battle was lost. He knew that he needed to save as many of his remaining troops as he could, or risk losing them all.

With a lump in his throat, " all uints retreat in tight formation orderly, the shields units first then the spear units "

The surviving skeletal troops, their ranks greatly diminished, fell back with a mournful chorus of rattling bones.

They raised their hunter spears in a defensive stance, forming a protective barrier around their fallen comrades. As they retreated from the battlefield, the wolves gave chase, their fierce howls echoing through the dungeon.
