We were woken up in the middle of the night, or very early in the morning to be more precise, with a politely loud enough knock on the door. I woke up to the sound before Hina and since it didn't look like she would get up unless the polite knock turned into a full on heavy metal drumming, I got up quickly and went to open the door before to allow Hina to sleep some more.
I'll take care of it.
"Good morning. Is there anything urgent, Mister?"
I asked the male attendant who seemed he was very sorry to be disturbing us at this hour, but the expression on his face already told me that there was a pretty bad news.
"I apologize, but I needed to inform Miss Chan straight away. There is an emergency back at the Chan Mansion"
I hope this isn't too bad.
"What is it?"
"Mrs. Chan had a stroke. She is currently being treated but said to be in critical condition"
