"How are you, Miss?"
I asked Hina who seemed to have calmed down somewhat although still visibly upset.
"I… don't know what to say. I never thought Mom would suddenly be like… this"
She didn't quite sound like her usual self. Understandably.
"Miss, these things can happen to anyone at any time. I'm truly sorry it has happened, but let's hope for the best"
"I have a strong feeling she won't make it"
I agreed.
"It's not the time to think that way, Miss. Sometimes there's a benefit to being cautious or realistic, but this isn't one of them. You worrying over her won't make her recover any better"
"You just don't understand what it's like to-"
Then Hina stopped herself mid-sentence.
"I'm sorry, Sin"
"It's alright. I may not understand your particular emotions now, but I know what it's like to lose family"
Hina let out a sigh.
"Right. You've never talked about your family before but I know you are alone"
