The dragons were shocked at first after hearing about the knowledge of the future. But they were able to accept it very quickly as Karna was able to provide a lot of information that can only be known by them alone.
Igneel's plan to leave behind his tenacity in the form of flames to Natsu so that he can deal with Zeref. Grandine's plan to teach Wendy the milky way dragon slayer secret art was also revealed as well.
"Well, if you have enough information from the future that was supposedly destroyed, you should also know that we are mere souls which will get destroyed within hours after getting out of the bodies of these kids.
The best we can do is create the antibodies for the curse that will affect them due to the dragon seed and use the little time we have left after exiting their bodies to weaken Acknalogia as much as possible so that the children will have easier time when they face him."
Igneel gave out his plan based on what the dragons had agreed before. Karna knew that in the last iteration, Igneel had ripped out Acnalogia's arm while the other dragons had destroyed the faces, essentially saving Ishgar from the destruction of the demons.
And if Mard Geer's words are to be taken in face value, Natsu's demon seed would have awakened if all magic had gone from the continent. That idea did not make much sense at first but later when it was revealed that Natsu has both dragon and demon seeds. And if Karna is right, the activation of Faces will in a way make the dragon seed which is relying on magic to lose power completely and will lead to the demon seed to activate.
"You don't need to worry about Acnalogia" Karna reassured them "I have some information from the future about him and had started preparing for it for years.
If we follow my plan, we will be able to stop him once and for all."
The dragons widened their eyes at the claim made by someone younger than them by centuries, but Igneel and Grandine were calm as they had experienced this many times while being in the presence of Zeref. They knew that smart people plan ahead.
"Then so be it, how does our role come in the play in your plan?" Igneel asked.
"Interact with your dragon slayers more. You may feel like letting them grow on their own will make them strong, but having an even more experienced guiding hand will help them even more.
I am not telling you to speak to them always, just make sure to come once in a while and teach them skills that they cannot learn on their own, like certain dragon slayer arts that do not focus on attacking alone" Karna gave his opinion and then watched the dragons make their decision about it.
"Alright" Igneel said finally.
"We will guide the dragon slayers and teach them things that they might not acquire in the current era that lacks dragons."
"Well, I'm not so sure there are no dragons anymore" Karna said which widened the eyes of the dragons slightly.
"What do you mean?" Metallicana asked surprised as all dragons thought that due to the depletion of ethernano in Earthland caused by the war with the drakons had killed almost all the dragons except for Acnalogia.
"There has been rumours about a dragon made completely out of flames in the land of the giants. He is worshiped by the giants as a deity" Karna said and Igneel nodded.
"He must have been one of my kin, if he was a fully elementalised dragon, there are certain ways by which he can survive" Igneel said as he thought about the comrades he had centuries ago.
But Karna continued..
"There is also a secret quest that Gildarts went for a few years back, I had conducted an investigation about it using my influence in the council."
"You mean the 100-year quest, what about it" Igneel asked as he had heard about it a few times through Natsu.
"The quest is actually extermination, to be more exact the quest is the extermination of 5 dragons who call themselves the Dragon gods in another continent" Karna' information shocked the dragons.
"Dragon Gods" the dragons listening to it became sceptical, but Karna continued.
"Well, that's the title they got for themselves, I have no idea whether the power levels of those dragons match their title, though there are rumours that they fled to another continent in fear of Acnalogia.
But that's not the important part" Karna said and looked at Igneel.
"One of the dragons is a fire dragon who calls himself Ignia" Igneel stiffened slightly "From the rumours he calls himself the son of Igneel."
There was pin drop silence for a few moments. The other four dragons slowly turned their heads to Igneel who also had a look that screamed.
'Damn it, I messed up!!!'
Grandine took a step forward with an angry expression.
"You never talked about any of us about a child Igneel" Grandine growled "Don't tell me you abandoned a child after conceiving it like every other piece of shit out there."
The other dragons took a step back as they had no wish to be a part of this. The act of breeding within dragons includes conceiving and leaving it to the mother to take care of the child. For centuries, dragons had followed this method. But at the time of the modern dragons i.e., at the time the dragon slayers had come along, dragons began to change in their cultural ways.
They began to have children only when the males are ready to take responsibility for it along with the females. Grandine was among the elder dragons when this decision was made. And finding out that Igneel had a child who was never revealed, it does not take a genius to understand that Igneel had not taken any responsibility about it.
