Karna was having a normal day after his and master's stunt in throwing a wrench in Laxus's plans and today was the day Natsu was supposed to return as well, they had taken a few more days because of the whole drama with Loki disappearing a bit earlier than before, so they had to take a stop for some time. In a brief period, they were able to take a communicator and say something about Natsu and Igneel, but it was cut off as the idiots broke the communicator
So, Karna had decided to stay and meet them today to talk about it when they come. He had shown his ability to swallow any kind of magic to them before and garnered their interest and it seems like his meeting with Zeref might have also led to that as well. Another thing that he considered was that since the dragons are in soul form, they might have seen Mavis's soul floating around. Though later on he found out that it was something he can just ignore.
But right now, as he was walking across town, he had sensed the presence of a demon hiding and watching him closely. He acted like he was not aware, but due to his heightened senses that had increased by the slight training he did secretly while he was out of magic, his perception with magic had increased greatly. He might not be able to focus on every individual and what they are doing simultaneously while walking, by staying still and focussing, he will be able to do so. But detecting the presence of a curse user, an artificially created demon from a crowd of humans, piece of cake.
He then purposefully moved towards the path which leads to the forest in a few minutes while secretly sending a message through his mark to Cana about a battle about to happen in the mountains. Right now he was as ready as he can ever be but in case after the battle he becomes unable to use his power or faints, its better to inform someone about it. And just as he received the message about informing master with the gun using couple keeping an eye on my location under the order of the master, I decided it was time to fight.
As I revealed about knowing him, he came out of the shadows. The only thing that came to my mind when I saw him was.
"A cockroach?"
The demon looked exactly like a humanoid cockroach, not like the freakishly trauma inducing ones in the Terraformers series but similar to how the cockroach man in one punch man universe looked like. Though instead of a human face, he had a mask made entirely of a white metal with two holes for eyes.
Though the edges of the mask looked fused, so it seems like he did not have a face and the mask was it. I have no idea about the aesthetic sense of Zeref when it comes to some of his demons. some looks like medieval noble humans while others look like a clay model created by a grade schooler who ate half of what he made.
"Karna Vermillion, you will come with me today dead or alive"
"Is that so" Karna sighed, having a necromancer on the team makes it easy to capture people without holding back and the idea of immortality in their minds by which they reincarnate makes demons commit suicide without hesitation if it comes to a point where they can't win and will be captured.
The perfect system to create the beings that would come back to kill him again and again, even if his death wave kills them.
Zeref was a madman, but Karna had to say he can be considered as the best.
"Mard Geer was getting impatient I guess" he said as he summoned his bow and notched an arrow "Do you think you can take me down that easily?" Karna questioned the now frozen demon who was not able to believe that he was found out
'this is not right, the fact about Tartarus being a guild of demons is a secret that has yet to be revealed to the world, Karna Vermillion whatever happens, you will fall today' the demon swore in his mind as he transformed to the second form which compressed his body after enlarging it for just a second, there by increasing both his toughness and speed to really high level.
Karna shot the first arrow towards his head
'huh, even a little bit of thinking would tell them that my current form is aimed at speed, yet still using an arrow at such slow speeds. Looks like his intelligence was just boastful misinformation, or is it a distraction'
The demon easily turned his head by which the arrow missed while not taking his eyes off Karna and saw that he slowly takes another arrow and notches on his brow. As he was thinking what he was going to do next, Karna disappeared
'wha-' and even before he can form a thought in his mind

The plan was exceedingly simple actually, the aims were to take the demon down quickly, so in a way show that his powers were something they can't compare to and at the same time do it in such a way that they have no idea about his abilities as well.
Karna was easily able to deduce that the power of the demon was in his speed, but there were chances of adaptation in it as well, so he decided to take him out quickly as he planned before.
The shrinking of the armour made him doubt whether his arrow would work but he injected more power in the demonic arrow he was going to create. He reduced the death element in it so that the demon can't die completely and sends his message back'
All of this was planned in a single second with the accelerated processing power of the Sharingan.
He shot a Flying thunder Raijin arrow first to let the demons guard down about attacks from behind and then teleported while shooting an arrow straight to his head.
Demon Killed Successfully.
