Karna watched as others came to him after their battle. Erza was the first one to worriedly ask.
"Karna what happened, for a moment, I was not able to sense your presence"
'so, in death form, I am undetectable huh, maybe because my body must be in some state that mimics the dead, thereby not detected by normal magic sensing. Further research should be done later' Karna speculated
"well, I have been trying out a new attack to take down demons and looks like it works a little too well" Karna said with a smile
Gray still worried asked
"are you sure you are okay"
"of course, but what happened upon your end"
Natsu grinned at that and said with a smile.
"we took ours down so hard that it disappeared at the last punch"
At the time Erza was looking at the battlefield where Karna had battled the demons and commented
"the last strike Natsu did was strong, but my guess is that something you did cause it to disappear like that didn't it" Erza speculated as she had doubts in the way the demon had disappeared
Karna just shrugged
"my guess is the tree demons were connected as one, when I destroyed two of them using my technique the other must have died easily"
Everyone accepted the answer even though Natsu was a bit bumped out finding that it was not his attack that killed the demon in the end.
From then on, the matter was easily handled. Erza's stunt in which she had knocked out the stationmasters forcefully and pulled the emergency stop of the train had attracted the rune knights to investigate the case. But reaching the place and finding a lot of injured people who looked like they were part of the dark guild forced them to stop for a moment and check the story before any drastic movements.
Lucky for them they paused before attacking. Because later, when they found out that two of the wizards among the group were S class and one of them being an important member with connections in the council had made them sweat in fear.
After that the information was send to the council as well as the guild masters meeting as well. After which everyone decided to go back home to the guild.
While at that moment Karna checked the system. The system reward was supposed to be a devil slayer fragment, but now he had managed to acquire devil slaying attribute as well a form that can be used as a trump card as well. So, he checked the system.

'yessss' Karna screamed in his mind. He had tried to learn dispel magic before but had found out that he had no talent in it. But now the system has provided an answer for it.
At the beginning of his life in fairy tail, Karna thought that after acquiring mind palace, he will be able to memorise every kind of magic and would be able to do it easily.

How wrong he was. He later had found out that to learn magic, one of the most important things is affinity. Even though the person can use true magic, affinity still matters. In the Nirvana ark, the holder of Archive magic had a strong spell, but he decided to send the information of the spell itself to Lucy rather than use it himself. Lack of magic power can be considered as one reason. But the main reason could have been because he had no affinity of celestial wizards which might have been the factor that the spell needed.
The first time Karna learned of this, Karna wished he had gotten a gamer system as the gamer's body is able to have all attributes and if none exists, the chances of developing others are also there. But thinking about the things he had gotten and will gain in the future.
Karna went inside the guild taking a deep breath.

"really" suddenly a cold voice called him which made him freeze in instinct and turn around slowly to see who called him.
There he found his beautiful girlfriend. But right now, due to her magic, her hair was flying in different directions and her eyes seemed so cold that it gave him shivers deep in the spine.
Karna began to think back to see whether he had missed anything
'birthday no its not today, any anniversaries no, did I have any chore left in the house, nah I'm not that stupid'
The entire guild was seeing what was happening, yet nobody laughed or mocked. Some were silently praying for Karna's soul cause Cana had risen to a status where everyone fears her like they fear Porlyosika, Erza and Cornelia.
Karna used his magic in overdrive. Not even when he was fighting the demons today, did he boost his perception and mind palace to this level. As he combed through every memory

Karna remembered Erza mentioning that for a while, his aura disappeared. Karna attributed it to his new form where he had become something similar to the state of death. The chances are the marks that connect Karna and Cana had attributed it to Karna being dead for a few minutes.
"it was an accident; I didn't know something like that would happen" Karna shouted out as quickly as possible. But seeing her expression, Karna knew that he was still dead even without that form.
He resigned to his fate and followed her home. Seeing this the people of the guild held a silent prayer for him.
At the time in the council
The councillors with ego straight up in their asses began to argue about what had happened with Fairy Tail and Eisenwald along with Lullaby. Even though they had saved a lot of people, the rising reputation was disliked by the council and they felt like humbling them a bit.
Seeing that none of the 4 gods of Ishgar are not there, they decided to get a bit more confident.
"so, it is agreed, to make public realise their powerlessness, we will arrest S Class wizard Karna Vermillion"
They had no idea what kind of danger they are inviting themselves to.
