Deep within the walls of the illustrious Glory Corporation, two strikingly handsome and statuesque men lounged with their coffee mugs held in a regal manner.
They savored each sip as they impatiently waited for the acknowledgement of the third man, equally handsome and damn near perfect, who sat at his desk signing papers without a care for the men before him.
Jack Mickelson, the adored CEO and heir of Glory Corporation, sat in his chair with effortless grace, his impossibly handsome face captivating the attention of all in the room. Words fail to do justice in describing his perfection.
A mere glance from him could incite envy and rivalry amongst the closest of friends, such is the effect of his presence.
But in addition to his looks, Jack is also blessed with a prestigious legacy from both his parents' renowned families.
He lost his parents at a tender age and was their only child, but fortunately, his grandparents from both sides were lifelong friends and took care of him with so much love and care.
He was showered with their love and care, never feeling lacking in familial bonds. In fact, they often loved him more than their own children and most of their grandchildren.
Breaking the prolonged silence, Rex Naylor, Jack's best friend with long black hair tied neatly in a ponytail, spoke up.
"So... when are we going to meet our newest sister-in-law? It's been two weeks already, don't you think it's time for you to reveal yourself to her?"
Rex's inquiry made Jack stop what he was doing and look up at him with a heavy sigh.
"I don't know, Rex. I have no idea how to face her and explain what happened that night." Jack admitted with a hint of despair in his voice.
It wasn't an easy situation for anyone involved. Facing her was something he desired, but he was at a loss as to how to do it. Despite his intelligence, handsome appearance, wealth, and influence, this was a situation he had never encountered before and did not know how to resolve.
"You see, the longer you prolong this, the more complicated and distorted it may become. She's a woman, after all. And trust me, buddy, a woman's first time is precious to her.
They only give it to the ones they truly love. And you took it from her in the worst way. I may sound harsh, but let's face the harsh truth. What happened that night wasn't entirely your fault. Yet, you have the power to make it better for her.
I have a sister and damn... I would not hesitate to seek retribution from anyone who would violate her purity without her consent." Fredrick Cooper, heir to the Cooper Company and Jack's other best friend, spoke with genuine concern.
"Fred is right, Jack. We both may be Casanovas, but you are different. We all know both of you were drugged by your respective families.
However, her case is different from yours. It happened on the night of her engagement. Just imagine how devastating it must have been for her.
Betrayed by her family and then not knowing who took her virginity? That's a double blow to her heart." Rex interjected, also showing concern for his friend and the strange young lady.
"And let's not forget your grandparents' ultimatum!" Fredrick added with a chuckle.
Jack had been silently listening to his friends' advice. However, at the mention of his grandparents' threat, a frustrated groan escaped his lips as he rubbed his temple, causing his two friends to laugh.
Indeed, his grandparents were Jack's worst nightmare. Especially those two old women.
With a heavy sigh, Jack agreed with his friends. "I asked Martin to keep an eye on her this whole time. I will try to schedule a meeting with her tomorrow. I just hope--"
But before he could finish, his phone rang, interrupting what he was about to say.
Glancing at his phone, Jack saw it was a call from Martin.
Without any hesitation, he answered the call.
A subtle crease appeared on his forehead as he picked up the phone.
"How is she?" was his immediate inquiry upon answering the call.
Rex and Frederick strained their ears to catch Martin's response as they raised their eyebrows.
After a moment, Jack's frown deepened. Was Martin known to stutter while speaking?
"If you find yourself unable to articulate coherent thoughts, Martin, it's best you never appear in front of me again," Jake's voice rang through the receiver, cold and harsh.
His friends looked on, perplexed. They were familiar with Jack's occasional aloofness, but what might have provoked such a reaction?
"Give me the location... I'm already on my way," Jack exclaimed with urgency before abruptly ending the call and standing up, reaching for his coat hanging on the back of his chair.
"What's going on? What's happened?" Both Rex and Frederick asked in a hurry as they also rose to follow him.
"The little girl has been arrested," Jack stated tersely, offering no further explanation.
"We're coming with you!" his two friends declared, rushing to catch up.
As they descended to the ground floor, all the employees stopped what they were doing and stared in awe at the three imposing figures, storming out of the building with a mixture of anger and concern on their faces.
What could have caused the country's gods to react in such a manner?
