Note: This weapon was used in the early days by the legendary Mercenary King, Amy. Although it is recorded in the Compendium of Divine Weapons, the Mercenary King rarely used it during the actual War of the Gods.

Just like anyone who has been petrified for the first time, Amy, newly released from magic, collapsed to the ground. A withered hand helped him up.

"Half a year ago, I met your father at the Tower of Ice Wishes, and we fought side by side for three months," the old wizard exclaimed unexpectedly. Amy was stunned.

Meanwhile, Chi Hanfeng, also freed from magic, rubbed his backside and got up from the ground. "Wizard, what should we call you?"

"Amy Empire's Court Grand Wizard, and magical instructor to the 53rd Emperor of the Amy Empire, Leha IV—Reigel. No need to bow, even though I am senior to Chi Ningyuan. By the way, which year of the Red Moon calendar is it now? I just emerged from the Tower of Wishes and found that much has changed. Sigh, a day in the tower feels like a century outside," the old wizard lamented.

The noble, who had no intention of kneeling, seized the opportunity to follow suit, answering questions while trying to glean information from the old wizard. "Oh, you're indeed quite senior. However, time is ruthless, and the world knows no rank. We should each speak for ourselves, else it's too complicated. It's the year 199 of the Red Moon calendar now."

"Ninety-three years... I've been cultivating in the Tower of Wishes for ninety-three years."

Ninety-four years ago, Court Grand Wizard Reigel expressed his desire to explore unknown magical realms within the Tower of Wishes. Upon entering, he discovered he had stepped into an entirely unfamiliar domain.

Ten years ago, Reigel's friend Balbas entered the Tower of Wishes and has not emerged since, prompting Reigel to hope to find him inside. As Reigel opened the tower's door, he found a world of ice and snow—a sky with a sun, distant glaciers, and endless falling snowflakes. There were no paths or buildings. When he attempted to exit, he realized the door was gone; looking back, the scene remained unchanged.

A smile played on the old wizard's lips. "It took a long time for me to understand the true meaning of the Tower of Wishes' trial. Each wizard who enters creates a separate barrier, aligned with the tower's attributes."

In this world, all wizards are categorized into three attributes and form pacts with one of six different natural spirits, harnessing their power to perform magic. Magic is classified into five levels. Any wizard can use Level 1 magic of any attribute. For example, an apprentice ice wizard can not only use Level 1 ice magic but also skillfully use Level 1 fire, wind, and water spells. An apprentice ice wizard should master Level 2 ice magic. Once they can freely use Level 3 ice magic, they can be certified as a Level 2 wizard. If they can freely use Level 4 ice magic and also use Level 2 spells of other neutral attributes like water and wind, they can become a Level 1 wizard. With continuous practice and talent, mastering Level 5 magic elevates them to a grand wizard.

Becoming a grand wizard marks the frontier of magical cultivation. More than eighty percent of grand wizards retain this title until death. Less than twenty percent attempt the Tower of Wishes trial.

Wizards who have not entered the Tower of Wishes never know the trial content, and those who exit never reveal its secrets due to a silence pact with natural spirits.

In reality, upon entering the tower, each wizard merges with their attribute's world, gaining intimate knowledge. Once fully integrated, they can create their magical domain.

"Can you create your magical domain now?" Amy eagerly asked.

The old wizard smiled with squinting eyes, extending a finger to conjure a small snowflake. Suddenly, snow filled the treehouse. As everyone looked up in wonder, the snow vanished as quickly as it had appeared.

Magic of the same attribute, like wind or water, receives a boost in the ice domain, increasing ice magic's attack and defense by over 100%. Opposing attributes like fire and earth suffer negative effects, rendering some Level 1 and 2 spells unusable in the ice domain.

"When I mastered the domain, the high-ranking Ice Spirit Aylans appeared to form a pact with me. Whenever I need his help, I merely open my domain, and he appears. Mastering a domain doesn't guarantee exiting the Tower of Wishes, until I met your father," the old wizard Reigel said to Amy.

"The Tower of Wishes has only one door, and wizards within their barriers cannot locate it. One exception is Lake Haber. He is not a wizard, so he can't see barriers. He claimed to see me on the seventh floor of the tower, but I couldn't see him. After mastering the domain, by chance, my domain overlapped with the barrier, enclosing him, and we could finally communicate."

Later, Lake Haber led Reigel to the door, allowing him to exit the Tower of Wishes.

The grand wizard, or more accurately, Ocean Magister Reigel, pulled out a pure white two-handed longsword from his barrier and handed it to Amy.

"According to your father, this sword was placed on the door when he entered the Tower of Wishes, and Aylans enchanted it with magic out of boredom. Your father asked me to give it to you," Reigel said.

"Where's my father? Didn't he come out with you?"

"No, one must rely on their barrier's power to open the tower's door, and your father cannot use magic. But don't worry, I left him some magical texts. Perhaps in time, he will form his barrier. The high-ranking Ice Spirit took a keen interest in him and might help. Aren't you curious about the gift your father left you?" Reigel asked.

"Oh, this sword feels light." Amy easily lifted it with one hand, twirling it. "If not for its size, I'd think it was a one-handed sword."

"Reigel, I've seen this sword before, but it looks different. It used to be black; why is it white now?" Chi Hanfeng remarked.

"Ha-ha, the Tower of Wishes houses about thirty grand wizards, each with their barrier, and the high-ranking spirit's barrier is even stronger. This sword was used as a door latch, overlapping with all barriers, daily washed by wind and snow, and enchanted by the ice spirit, fundamentally altering it. First, it became lighter due to internal changes; second, it now has a name: Blade of Ice. Knowing its name allows you to cast Level 1 ice magic, Ice Blade, at will. Lastly, with enough magical power, the wielder can unleash all ice offensive magic. With a pact with the high-ranking Ice Spirit, one can summon the ice domain—this sword requires no magic sealing," the old wizard whispered.

"That's amazing!" Amy was reluctant to let go.

"Oh, Amy, would you like to learn magic?" Reigel asked cautiously.

"I'd love to. That's wonderful."

An imperial noble nearby muttered discontentedly, "I knew there was an ulterior motive—stealing my student."

The old wizard patted Chi Hanfeng's shoulder. "Young man, there's much you don't know. Amy must learn magic. Time will reveal everything."

"Amy, you are my first disciple and probably the last. Chi Hanfeng's training has given you a good physique, which will greatly aid your magical studies. I hope—no, I insist—you surpass me and become a Magister of Nature. That's also your father's wish for you," the old magister said solemnly.

"Alright, if it's convenient, let's visit Dragon Tooth Mountain. I've heard green dragons have been appearing frequently, and I want to try making a pact with them."

For the first time, Amy embarked on a journey to Dragon Tooth Mountain.
