"Good morning Mr. President, it was a pleasure to meet you here. I really didn't expect that you would spend a bit of your time to us" Vince was ecstatic seeing the President in person, while unexpected he could also see the implications beside this meeting.
"Don't flattered me too much, I am just a public servant paid by your taxes, besides I was interested by your Bakunawa X1 after hearing it from Mr. Lorenzana" Everyone hearing the humble president was amazed how down to earth he is. Most of the president had this arrogance that they were different from the masses while PRRD makes you feel that he is not different from you, just a simple employee serving the public.
"Let me escort you to the monitoring site Mr. President" Vince escorted the group to a building in the distant. Within a minute they enter a room full of minitoring systems which can be seen the site of launching the missiles.
"During this week, we have made atleast 20 missiles and 5 of them will be tested today. During this simulation we have place a small boat 2,000 km in the shore and can be operated remotely, we have also secured the area of any fishermen that might passed. We have also place a live camera onboat. The Bakunawa X1 is expected to have 99% hit rate, it can also changed course thrice to pursue evading targets. During the simulation we will also compare how Bakunawa X1 could strikes any aircraft, missiles and ships that had a moving speed belie mach 4. Bakunawa X1 with its advanced cutting edged could track and intercept any moving target with belie the maximum speed if mach 5. While, stealth fighters and harder to detect it could be seen in the radar after it entered 500 km which could be said it's still not too late to respond". Vince explained further the advantages of the missile after seeing the successful launching of the missile and hitting the target. During the simulation, the President and DND Secretary was shocked how this man could make this technology from scratch. President Duterte signal Lorenzana to leave the room as he want to negotiate with Vince.
"How did you do it?, It takes a lot of years to make something like this from scratch and what much more absurd is that it surpassed the present technology that most powerful nations used right now" President Duterte probe to the man before him.
"I was very interested in this type of craft since I was young and have been inspired by many engineers. With money and influence I have made this child dream into reality" Vince shittingly explained.
"Now, we can discussed business, I would like to ordered 200 units of the missile with 20 battery, I wonder how much it could cost" President Duterte asked Vince with determination.
"Bakunawa X1 per unit had a price of 2 million USD per unit. We would take this offer for 20 billion pesos (400 million USD).
"Moreover, I would like to have a license to drill oil in the Philippine Sea, we could share 80-20%, 80% to my company and 20 percent to the government if we found oil reserves there. I am hoping to get the government support in this and to reduce the burden of the government the 30% of the pay of the missile can be payed in years".
"Huh, drilling oil in Philippine Sea and you would share 30% to us?, most analysis said that West Philippines Sea had a huge untapped oil reserves. Why would you go to Philippine Sea?" Duterte asked
"I have a group if analyst also and they expected an oil reserves in Philippine Sea. West Philippines Sea is a territory with a lot of resources however those natural resources can't be used to us right now as China was eyeing there. Any resources found would be claimed by China and it's something that you and zi can't do, our ally United States can't be trusted and they might asked more for our protection."
"You are right, this is also the reason why I want dual partnership with China in discovering resources there so that we can use the resources there. However, China is still stalling for time and seems not want to share the resources of our territory." President Duterte said with dissapointed expression.
"I also understand the nations predicament and this is why I am planning to invest in building a fifth generation aircraft" Vince respond with keen interest.
"What?, you're going to build a fighter aircraft?"
"Yes Mr. President, in fact we already have the blueprint, we expect that the first prototype could be build in 2 years."
"As far as I know you haven't build your company yet?, aren't you rushing things too much?"
"We've already recruited capable individual who will manage the company, in fact right now they are already doing the legal procedures and other miscellaneous stuff." It could be said that Vince was not really knowledgeable in terms of business management this is why he will let other experienced and capable individual to run the company.
"Ohh, that's very good. Also, I would like to ask how you was able to sell your crops below the market price?" President Duterte was very interested in knowing why this man started to sell rice and corn below the market price. It must be known that the world price of rice is very high right now even Vietnam the top rice producer was gravely affected by the worsening climate change.
"Well, our company wants to greatly reduce the burden of the government right now, we are still earning money even if it is small but still our focus was to satisfy the market demands. This is why I want the government to announce that you have made negotiation with me to make the price of rice lower by 30%. And also encourage other rice supplier to lower theirs too. Monopoly was rampant in our country and I hope that the government would work from it and also it would be best if no underhanded tricks is played behind the scene."
