Chapter 9 - Chapter 8 - New Equipment

A week has passed since I found out the fact that there are other people got sent into this world like me but with a much better start. I decide to increases my training regime.

If they have retain their abilities and skills from their game avatar and accidentally encounter them, I might need to prepare such scenarios.

Since I don't have any magic, then I might going to find an alternative way for that, which is the Mystic Crystal Ore. It's my go-to trump card since none of the players took advantages of it since it's one time uses and a small percentage of buff.

But they have no idea how much of a game changer it was. Despite having small percentage, they have an advantage which is stacking. If I got +10% Attack and stack with another +10% Attack, it'll be 121% Attack instead of 120%.

It wasn't much but if we continue to stack, it'll be a much greater percentage. It's the biggest advantages to any gear where the opposites happen if they try to stack.

The item was very common so no one bother to get them. And then there's the 3-uses, 5-uses, and 10-uses variants which are very rare to find. Some players prefer to use that but it rarely used since no one has ever find it.

I heard that there's rumor about an update of infinite usage which is time-limited events and provide smaller buff than 1-use cores. I rather take those as a grain of salt since it was just a rumor.

Then, there's anti-magic and anti-aura weapons or cuffs. That is one of the must-have items on my top priorities list. Bad news is that all the kingdom monopolise the Antite ore, the material required for anti-magic/aura weapons.

Yeah, real original....

But, right now, I need to focus on the current situations. I'm still too weak to even infiltrate any kingdoms or empire right now. So, I'll just continue to build up strength.

I grab the axe again and cut down some tree. This time, I decided to made a bow and arrows. Tossing things might help with my range, but archery is far better range attack than throwing knives.

It was.....difficult since my muscle strength is still too weak to made the bow string as tense as a normal standard bow, so I have to made some adjustment based on my curremt muscle strength.

Snap!

I look at the bow that got snapped due to too much pressures.

This.....might take a while....

----------------------------------------------------------

Okay, this is my 50th attempt to made this bow and I can feel my veins ready to explode from anger. I know this is an average quality wood, but how did they snap so easily!?

I take a deep breath before carefully craft my bow again. The strings, frames, handler...

Come on, Darren, just a bit.....

There!

Finally, after my 50th attempts, I made a bow!! Took me so many trials and errors but it's worth it! Now, let's try this!

Snap!

I blankly look at the bow snapped by simply pulling the string. I took a deep breath before...

"RRRRAAAAARRRGGGHHHHHH!!!!!!"

----------------------------------------------------------

A week has passed since I start my bow project and I finally did it. Instead of the normal ways of how bow is shaped which is from one 'blank', I decided to take the traditional route, by tying up two pieces of wood together.

It's not perfect but for a makeshift bow, it'll do for me. I look at the bow before pulling the string. I can feel my head sweats like crazy and my teeth clenching. I let go of the string and I wait for the inevitable 'snap'.

.....

.....

.....

I-it works! It finally works! Hahaha!! A proper functioning bow is finally in my grasp!! Now, for the test run! Grabbing my makeshift arrow, I place the dull edge into the string carefully before pulling it and aim at the tree in front of me.

I let go and I can see the arrow flies toward the tree. It land on the tree, but it was far from where I aim at.

Which is the root of the tree instead of the trunk. I feel like I want to bury myself 6 feet under. I really can't handle such embarrassment.

Okay, Darren, calm down now. You just never hold a bow and arrow. Just got to do some trial and error via training, no problem.

Yeah.....I have a feeling this will sucks. I'll just focus more on my normal workout routine. I look back at all of the broken 'blanks' I collect and carved it into wooden stakes and short throwing spears at my break times. There's no reason to waste resources, after all.

I grab one of the spear before tossing it on the tree ten metres away from me. Thankfully, months of training throwing stuff actually results with a better results than my sad excuse of 'archery skills'.

I'll stick with throwing projectiles before I resort to archery. I remember how I once rush things too much and end up causing too much mess. I still have PTSD of getting chewed by the teacher due to the crazy mess I made.

Something I wish to remember before I overwork myself and almost kill myself for my stupidity. I'm just glad that I remember it or else I'll continue to repeat that mistake.

I walk towards where the tree was and pull out the spear. The hole wasn't even deep but it's enough to keep the wood stuck on the tree. If I throw it at a human, it'll probably pierce it through the skin and stuck at their muscle fibre, if I'm at the same range as when I throw at the tree.

Yeah, still have tons of things to improve myself. And I won't stop myself to-!

...it's that bunny again. That damn bunny. You still approaching me? You think I'm harmless?! And you running away again!?

Oh, fuck you!

*Jleb!!*

There's no way you'll running away after everything! Now, I feast on your flesh, you stupid bunny!!

WAHAHAHAHAHA!!!
