Hazel's heart skipped a beat as she felt something wrap around her legs. She jumped up in fright, kicking whatever it was away from her legs. Successfully getting it off, she leaped away and turned to see what it was, her heart thudding.
"Kayle?" Hazel exclaimed and then exhaled in relief, placing her hand on her heaving chest. Catching her breath, her expression turned into annoyance, and she yelled, "What are you doing? Are you trying to give me a heart attack?"
Kayle, on the ground on all fours as if she had been crawling, rose to her feet, looking downward and not saying a word. Hazel wondered what was wrong with her, but all of a sudden, Kayle fell to her knees again, startling Hazel.
"Pl... Ple.. plea... haa," she said, struggling to speak, as if the words were heavy on her tongue. Hazel, already annoyed by her bizarre actions, lashed out, "What's wrong with you? Just say what you want to say."
