She calmly walked into the office, a small smile blooming on her face at the sight of her pretty little mate, who sat on Nox's own chair.
"Scar! What took you so long?" Aylin pouted. She glared at Nox, who threw an amused smile back at her.
" I was working, little fairy. I am the Alpha of a pack, you know." Nox shot back, her smile still in place.
Aylin pouted harder, angry that she had no retort to that, since it was the truth of the matter. Before Scarlett had become Aylin's mate, she was the Alpha of the Midnight Pack. Still, that did not change the fact that she wanted her Alpha's attention as well.
