(Dawnfall story)

In the center of the vast expanse of land, the wind blew strongly around the area.

In contrast to the calm expanse of land, the sky became the battleground where the power of mana collided.

-Boom, boom, boom...

The sky seemed on the verge of collapse, every collision of mana filling the airspace.

The clash between Aura and magic gave the impression of witnessing the end of the world.

"This is truly ominous, isn't it, Fawwaz?" A black-haired man with golden eyes gazed up at the tumultuous sky.

Standing at 176cm tall with a physique perfectly suited for combat, a sword at his hip signified his warrior spirit.

"You're right, Avan. It feels suffocating here, with mana swirling everywhere," Fawwaz replied to his friend Avan's observation.

"Oh, right. Your eyes can perceive mana, can't they?" Avan inquired with curiosity.

"Yes, I can see it clearly," Fawwaz confirmed with a nod.

"Now that I think about it, Emmeline also possesses the same ability. Wait, can your eyes see through things?" Avan's tone hinted at a touch of panic.

"Don't worry, I don't have that power. So your privacy is safe from Emmeline," Fawwaz reassured him with a chuckle, finding Avan's concern amusing amidst the chaos.

"Haha, you got me there," Avan admitted, scratching his head in embarrassment at Fawwaz's jest.

"Avan," Fawwz's voice suddenly turned serious, drawing Avan's attention.

Perplexed by the shift in the atmosphere, Avan turned to face Fawwaz.

"You know... I've done a lot of wrongs to those around me, at least before we met. There were moments when I questioned my actions, and why I pushed away the kindness of those who cared for me. Meeting you changed my perspective on all of that," Fawwaz confessed, his bright blue eyes locking onto Avan's.

Avan listened intently, absorbing Fawwaz's words with full attention.

"I rejected all their kindness—my parents, the servants, even Emmeline. I deeply regret those actions now, and I've tried to make amends, though I fear it's never enough," Fawwaz continued, his grip tightening on his hand as he conveyed his sincerity.

"So, since you'll be Emmeline's husband in the future... I know the kind of person you are—a truly remarkable individual. And I trust you'll bring her happiness. But let me say this: please make my sister Emmeline happy," Fawwaz implored, finally expressing what he had wanted to say.

Moved by Fawwaz's words, Avan smiled warmly, placing his hand on Fawwaz's shoulder. "Of course, I'll do everything in my power to make Emmeline happy. I'll always treat her with fairness, and I won't let her down—or you. Thank you for your words, Fawwaz. Thank you for caring for Emmeline. I'm sure she'll be overjoyed when she hears this."

"I'd appreciate it if you kept this between us," Fawwaz replied with a hint of awkwardness.

"Haha, I can't promise that," Avan chuckled, the weight of impending events lifted as they shared a moment of camaraderie.

-Whoosh

As they shared a laugh, a swift figure approached their location.

Their cheerful mood quickly turned somber, indicating that the incoming presence was not a welcome one.

"So, you're both here," spoke a woman with sea-blue hair and matching eyes, her demeanor ominous.

Observing her approach, Avan assumed a defensive stance, hand instinctively reaching for his sword, golden aura enveloping him.

"Kadita," Avan's voice dripped with disdain as he addressed the woman.

Upon seeing Avan's reaction, Kadita responded with a mocking smile.

"Avan, stop," Fawwaz intervened, extending his arm to halt Avan's impending attack.

"Fighting her won't end well; she can counter your powers," Fawwaz reasoned, urging Avan to reconsider.

"Tch, fine," Avan reluctantly relented at Fawwaz's advice.

"HAHAHA, is the empire's strongest warrior backing down after a few words from his friend?" Kadita taunted, trying to provoke Avan further.

"Kadita, I won't forgive you," Avan's fists clenched tightly, barely containing his anger at Kadita's taunts.

"Avan, leave," Fawwaz surveyed the situation and came to a decision.

"I'll handle her alone. You need to go to Olivia's location; they require assistance," Fawwaz directed Avan, using his Third Eye ability to assess the battlefield and make the call.

Initially hesitant, Avan ultimately trusted Fawwaz's judgment. Fawwaz was a calculated thinker, so Avan knew his decision was well-considered.

"Fine, I'll head to their location. Promise me you'll make it back," Avan placed a reassuring hand on Fawwaz's shoulder, who simply nodded in response. With that, Avan departed, leaving Fawwaz alone with Kadita.

Now alone, Kadita's gaze bore into Fawwaz with unmistakable malice.

"So, you think I'm too weak, huh, Fawwaz?" Kadita initiated their exchange, her tone laced with bitterness.

Fawwaz shook his head, "I never thought that. I simply believed Avan would be a hindrance in this fight," he explained, irritating Kadita further.

"Don't play dumb. I know how much Avan means to you. You're always focused on him, ignoring everyone else. You never even spare me a glance," Kadita's voice cracked with emotion, tears welling in her eyes as she poured out her grievances.

Guilt gnawed at Fawwaz, but he had no defense against Kadita's accusations; everything she said was true, all because of him.

"I'm sorry," Fawwaz's apology was all he could offer in response.

Kadita's anger peaked upon hearing Fawwaz's apology, dismissing it as meaningless words.

"ENOUGH!" Kadita wiped away her tears, her resolve hardening. "Let's settle this once and for all."

Amid the vast expanse of land, the wind howled, carrying with it the tension of the impending clash.

Fawwaz and Kadita stood at a distance from each other, their gazes locked in a battle of wills.

"Sink to the depths, 'Massive Wave'!" Kadita's incantation reverberated across the plain as she summoned a colossal wave hurtling towards Fawwaz with tremendous force.

Anticipating the attack, Fawwaz swiftly cast a levitation spell, attempting to evade the oncoming deluge.

But Kadita was quick to counter, manipulating the water to ensnare Fawwaz within its grasp, dragging him down into the swirling depths of the wave.

Trapped within the watery prison, Fawwaz struggled against the relentless onslaught, tossed about like a ragdoll by the ferocious currents.

"Not so fast! Feel the wrath of 'Reprisal Wave'!" Kadita unleashed another spell, transforming the water into razor-sharp projectiles that homed in on Fawwaz with deadly accuracy.

Boom, boom, boom

Each collision between Kadita's spells and the waves triggered a cacophony of explosions, tearing through the surroundings in a devastating display of power.

"Had enough?" Kadita taunted, scanning the chaos for any sign of Fawwaz's response.

Yet, in a sudden twist, Fawwaz reappeared before Kadita, his fist charged with mana, hurtling towards her with unwavering determination.

Reacting swiftly, Kadita conjured a protective barrier to intercept Fawwaz's attack.

"Ignis Fist!"

"Wave Barrier!"

-BOOM

The collision between Fawwaz's fiery fist and Kadita's barrier erupted in a colossal explosion, propelling Kadita skyward as the shockwave rippled through the air.

-Whoosh

As Kadita descended from the sky, Fawwaz unleashed a barrage of fire magic projectiles, each one finding its mark and striking her with precision.

-Boom

Explosions rocked the area, but Kadita's barrier held firm, shielding her from the worst of the damage.

"Huff, huff, huff, huff," Kadita gasped for breath, the strain of the relentless assault evident on her face.

"You think you can defeat me with such tactics? You underestimate my abilities," Kadita retorted, her voice laced with frustration at Fawwaz's apparent lack of regard for her prowess.

Fawwaz remained composed, his expression unreadable as he listened to Kadita's words.

"Kadita, it's time to bring this to an end," Fawwaz declared, his tone firm and resolute as he raised his hand, gathering mana around him.

"Bow to the power of the Absolute... Hell's Field," Fawwaz intoned, his voice echoing with power as he invoked the devastating spell.

In an instant, a vast, intricate circle materialized above Kadita's head, its layers pulsating with ominous energy. Kadita, realizing the gravity of the situation, attempted to flee, but an unseen force from beneath ensnared her, holding her firmly in place.

"What... What is this?" Kadita's voice trembled with disbelief as she struggled against the unseen restraint.

"Turn to dust." With a solemn command, Fawwaz triggered the magic circle, unleashing a cataclysmic explosion that engulfed Kadita in its fiery wrath. The blast surged upward, reaching toward the heavens and casting a brilliant spectacle visible from all corners of the world.

Gasping for breath, Fawwaz staggered under the weight of the spell's immense power. The exertion had drained him, leaving him panting and weary.

"It's finished." Fawwaz's voice, tinged with exhaustion, carried a note of finality as he surveyed the aftermath of his spell. Convinced that Kadita had been vanquished, he prepared to turn his attention elsewhere, eager to assist Avan.

But then...

"Do you truly believe it's over?" Kadita's voice cut through the air, filled with a newfound sense of authority.

Fawwaz whirled around, stunned to see Kadita still standing, her presence transformed into something far more regal and imposing. Gone was the humble appearance of before, replaced by a resplendent attire befitting royalty. Kadita now revealed as the Goddess of the Sea, Lady Kidul, exuded an aura of power and majesty that demanded respect.

"Mortal, consider yourself fortunate to witness my true form," Lady Kidul spoke with a hint of condescension, her gaze piercing through Fawwaz with unyielding intensity.

With a smirk of triumph, Lady Kidul proclaimed that their confrontation had only just begun, hinting at the challenges yet to be faced in their clash of powers.
