After leaving the hospital, Old Jenny took Qiao Xinran to the supermarket again.
Pregnancy milk powder, folic acid, vitamin tablets... a whole bunch of things were purchased.
Even Qiao Xinran bought a pair of pale pink little shoes that were not as big as her palm.
She knew that buying them now was too early, but looking at those shoes, she just couldn't move her feet, and her heart seemed to melt.
In the end, she placed them in the shopping cart and checked out together.
When she returned to where she was staying with Old Jenny, she heard the downstairs landline ringing incessantly. Qiao Xinran let go of Old Jenny's arm and said playfully with a smile, "Go ahead, it must be your daughter's call. She must be frantic after not being able to reach you all morning..."
Having said that, Qiao Xinran slowly walked upstairs.
Digging out the ultrasound report from her bag, looking at that little green dot, Qiao Xinran smiled exceptionally tenderly.
