Chi Jingxuan's worries were soon confirmed.
Early the next day, America's second-largest circulation magazine, Time Weekly, published an article titled "The Old Guard Against the New Blood: Who Will Contend for the Future's Crown?"
The tone of the article was seasoned, clearly written by a veteran journalist of the magazine. Its analysis of the current economic landscape and the historical paths of development was spot-on. Within the article, there was a brief comparison between Gu Mozhen and Chi Jingxuan.
Whether it was the well-established Gu Mozhen or the up-and-coming Chi Jingxuan, the writer's commentary was fair; there was no implication that Gu Mozhen was too old, nor that Chi Jingxuan was too inexperienced—an altogether just piece of journalism.
However, the series of articles it engendered showed no such level of professionalism.
