Mu Yingchen seemed to sense her gaze, and he suddenly turned his head, tangling his eyes with hers.
"Is it okay?" His tone was gentle.
Su Wanxia hooked the corners of her lips, her clear eyes shining brightly.
"Okay."
Mu Yingchen suddenly extended his hand and drew her into his embrace.
A hand gently caressed her long hair.
"Stay by my side."
His tone was low, as if he were talking to himself, and yet, as if he were confiding in Su Wanxia.
Su Wanxia's heart clenched, her lips moved, but in the end, not a word was uttered.
A trace of loss flickered through Mu Yingchen's deep eyes, and the arm holding her tightened.
"I was wondering where everyone had gone, turns out you're here showing affection," Ji Hua's nonchalant voice came from behind the two.
Su Wanxia immediately left Mu Yingchen's embrace, looking somewhat awkwardly at the crowd behind her.
