Perhaps not expecting Musheng to be so straightforward, Professor Deng stiffened for a moment, but after so many years in the mix, he swiftly and naturally shifted the conversation.
"Musheng, I know that we've never met or had any contact before, and you might find it rather abrupt that I am seeking you out today," he said.
It was indeed somewhat abrupt.
Musheng silently repeated these words in her mind, wisely choosing not to voice them.
Seeing that Musheng didn't respond and her eyes were indifferent like the surface of calm waters, Professor Deng couldn't discern her thoughts.
