Inez's fury was ignited by just one sentence from Musheng, and she even looked like she was about to strike him. However, she was suddenly pushed away by Karen.
Karen's action surprised everyone present; no one had expected her to shove her own assistant.
"I will get to the bottom of this, but first I owe you an apology."
Karen, usually so indifferent, seemed a bit disordered. She took a breath and turned to Musheng, "I'm sorry, Karen, this is her fault. I'll explain it to you."
After speaking, she grabbed Inez's wrist and dragged her away.
The turn of events caught everyone off guard; no one had thought that the usually irritable Karen would apologize to Musheng so submissively.
Musheng watched coldly as Karen led Inez away without interfering.
Dariel, seeing that the situation had calmed down, patted Musheng on the shoulder, then called the two male leads over to give them a tongue-lashing about the other incident.
