Three hours later, the cell phone rang, and a call came through.
Huo Jinnan turned to his side, his gaze landing on Che Huan, who was sound asleep with her head pillowed on his arm. He lifted his other arm, just reaching the phone on the bedside table when the ringing stopped, and the call ended.
Picking it up, he saw it was from Qin Shaojin and knew that the other side must have finished their inquiries.
Just as he was about to put it down, he heard a notification sound and saw an incoming email with the subject—
"Didn't disturb Brother Huo with your work, did I? Recording is in the attachment, please check."
Huo Jinnan glanced at it but didn't open the email. He set the phone aside, took another look at Che Huan to ensure he hadn't woken her, and lay back down, closing his eyes.
